        외부공간의 침투방식에 따른 현대주거 계획 특성에 관한 연구

        This study clarifies how the alteration through the inflow of the external space can be assimilated to the internal space. The inflow of the external space into the internal space is in contemporary architecture already widely accepted. For this purpose, ways of the inflow will be classified at first into three types: ‘open space’, ‘semi open space’ and ‘closed space’. Then these will be divided in turn, by applying them to the plan, into several subtypes according to the particular open space. The features of surface, in which not only the physical but also the nonphysical relation such as the permeability of glass are considered, should be analysed. To grasp the features of the influence of the inflow of the external space, following things will be illustrated: ways of space division, ways of demarcation, the relational structure between spaces, ways of the inflow and the relation of the inflow elements to space characters. Therefore the relation between the internal and the external space, ways of controlling of the inflow elements and utilization plans will be revealed. This analysis about the influence of the inflow of the external space can be applied as a manual for designing contemporary houses in respect of the logical relation of causality.

        The purpose of this study is to resolve the conflicts of the residents over the Seoul city recommendation to leave one building in the event of a large-scale reconstruction.This study identifies the types of conflicts caused by leaving traces of cities and suggests policy directions for conflict relief. Issues investigated and analyzed through Focus Group Interview(FGI) with residents of large-scale complexes are summarized in the following four categories. ① Conflict between residents and the city area ② Differences in perspective according to present value or future value viewpoint ③ Difference in perspective on future heritage ④ Difference in priority values This study proposes solutions for each type of problem. As a study to solve this problem, a follow-up study that can leave a trace for these policies is needed.

        르 코르뷔지에의 주택과 5원칙에 내재된 외부적 특성 관계 고찰

        This study aims at analysing the relationship between housing and external space on the basis of Le Corbusier"s houses and his "Five Points of a New Architecture". As applications of the external space in housing are diversified, the boundary becomes unclear and the external space alters ways of using the internal space. The transformation of housing style that was set off by social problems from the start of the modern architecture enhanced the roll of the external space in housing. The technological improvement at that times increased the relationship between living space and light, ventilation, and the outside air. The premodern housing style that had separated the internal space from the external by walls was overcome in the modern housing transformation. The Five Points of Le Corbusier had a great influence on history of architecture and became a basis for the transition into the contemporary housing. By analysing the Points in regards with external space, the followings will be understood: the background of the interpenetration of the interior and the exterior and the roll of external space in each Point. This will explain the alteration of the boundary in housing and extend availabilities of the external space. To achieve this, this research evaluates each Point closely in regards with Le Corbusier"s houses. In addition it reveals that the external recognition which is implied in Five Points can be disclosed. This study is also dedicated to explore "Five Points and the notion and features of external space", "the formation methods of external space within housing" and "the relationship of external features within Five Points".

        이미지 생성 AI를 활용한 건축 렌더링 방식별 결과물 비교 분석 - PromeAI를 활용한 Render Mode를 중심으로 -

        본 연구는 건축용으로 사용할 수 있는 생성형 이미지 AI 프로그램인 PromeAI를 활용한 건축 렌더링의 효과적인 활용 방안을 탐색하는 데 목적을 두고 시작되었다. 특히, Render Mode별 효용성과 입력 방식의 변화에 따른 결과물의 비교 분석에 중점을 두었다. 연구 과정에서 다양한 Render Mode를 실험하고, Style Reference Image의 적용 유무를 교차 검증하여, AI렌더링이 건축설계에 미치는 영향과 잠재력을 심층적으로 조사하였다. 연구 결과, Style Reference Image의 사용이 결과물의 품질에 중대한 영향을 미치며, 특히 직접적인 이미지 표현에 있어 원하는 결과물을 도출하는 데 유의미한 변수가 됨을 확인하였다. 또한, Render Mode별로 건축물의 재료표현에서 유사한 특성을 나타내는 것이 관찰되었고, Style Intensity의 조정에 따라 디테일의 차이가 나타나지만, 각 Render Mode가 추구하는 바에 따라 결과물의 특성이 일관되게 유지됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한, Style Reference Image를 활용한 결과물은 Render Mode에 따른 차이를 완화 시키는 데 주요한 역할을 하고, 이는 특히 건축 렌더링의 목적에 따른 결과물 도출을 가능하게 함을 알 수 있었다. 그러나, Style Intensity가 증가함에 따라 일부 이미지에서는 어색한 입면 표현이나 디테일의 과도한 복잡성 증가와 같은 문제가 발생되었다. 이러한 연구 결과는 AI를 건축 렌더링에 적용할 때, 기술적 한계와 디자인 의도 사이의 균형을 고려해야 함을 시사한다. AI 렌더링의 속도와 다양성은 건축설계 과정을 효율적으로 변모시킬 수 있는 잠재력을 지니고 있으나, 렌더링 결과의 일관성과 디테일 처리에 있어 추가적인 작업과 정밀한 조정이 필요함을 드러냈다. 따라서, 향후 연구에서는 다양한 AI 프로그램의 성능 비교와 함께, AI 렌더링을 건축설계 과정에 효과적으로 통합하는 방안에 대한 심도 있는 탐구가 요구된다. 본 연구의 결과는 AI를 건축 디자인에 접목하는 시점에서 필요한 기초 연구 자료로 활용될 수 있으며, AI 기술의 발전과 함께 건축 렌더링의 새로운 가능성을 모색하는 데 기여할 것으로 기대된다. 연구는 PromeAI의 특정 기능을 바탕으로 한 한정된 사례 분석에 근거하지만, 이를 통해 얻은 연구 과정과 결과는 향후 AI와 건축 디자인의 융합에 있어 중요한 방향성을 제시할 것이다. This study aims to explore effective utilization strategies for architectural rendering using PromeAI, a generative image AI program designed for architectural use. It focuses particularly on the utility of different Render Modes and the impact of changes in input methods on the outcomes. Throughout the research process, various Render Modes were tested, and the application of Style Reference Images was cross-examined to deeply investigate the effects and potential of AI rendering in architectural design. The results indicate that the use of Style Reference Images significantly influences the quality of the outcomes, proving to be a meaningful variable in achieving the desired direct image representation. Additionally, while architectural materials exhibited similar characteristics across Render Modes, adjustments in Style Intensity revealed differences in detail, demonstrating that each Render Mode consistently maintained its intended outcome characteristics. Furthermore, the use of Style Reference Images played a crucial role in mitigating differences between Render Modes, enabling the flexible production of results tailored to the objectives of architectural rendering. However, an increase in Style Intensity led to issues in some images, such as awkward façade representations or an excessive increase in detail complexity. These findings suggest that when applying AI to architectural rendering, it is essential to consider the balance between technological limitations and design intentions. The speed and diversity of AI rendering hold the potential to efficiently transform the architectural design process, yet the consistency of rendering results and detail management require further work and precise adjustments. Therefore, future research should include a thorough exploration of integrating AI rendering into the architectural design process, alongside performance comparisons of various AI programs. The outcomes of this study can serve as foundational research material at the juncture of incorporating AI into architectural design, expected to contribute to exploring new possibilities in architectural rendering alongside the advancement of AI technology. Although the research is based on a limited case analysis focusing on specific features of PromeAI, the insights gained will provide important directions for the future integration of AI and architectural design.

        근대주택에 나타난 외부적 공간의 계획 특성 연구

        This study is an analysis of ways to plan the external space in modern housing. It investigates how vague and obscure boundaries and the intermediate space emerge and which features the plan for the attached external space in housing has. For these purposes, Villa Savoye by Le Corbusier, Tugendhat House by Mies van der Rohe, Groupius House by Water Groupius will be selected as representative building works for housing and features of their external space in housing will be examined in detail. The extracted external space is classified according to the openness into three heads: "open space", "semi open space" and "closed space". It is in turn divided in user, position, connection, composition and combination of the internal and external space. The structure of connective relation between rooms by the external space and the accessibility in circulation is visually analysed. It reveals also ways of arrangements, in which internal and external space, circulation and occupants are engaged. In addition it is historically pursued, how the external space comes up for the design under the situation of modern changes in architecture such as the disappearance of ornaments and sculptures and the alteration of features of the internal and external space. In conclusion this research suggests that modern housing presents basic aspects of the external space.
