The drawbacks of battery module in hybrid car are the decrease of battery charging efficiency and battery's durability because of temperature deviation among modules and concentrated high temperature. In order to estimate the temperature deviation of battery packs and the cooling effect of natural convection heat transfer, CFD are used. The temperature changes are investigated by changing the gap between the batteries. The wider gap is favorable to decrease the maximum temperature, because the cooling is improved by natural convection. However, the decrement of temperature has slowed for wider gaps. The developed method in this study shows the possibility to optimize the temperature deviation among the modules by adjusting the gap between batteries.

Temperature distribution by forced convection used fan of battery module is analyzed using commercial software Fluent. The drawbacks of battery module are the decrease of battery charging efficiency and battery's durability because of temperature deviation among modules and concentrated high temperature. The temperature difference and temperature concentration phenomenon is eased through change the location of the fan with the location of the inlet. The temperature change according to the route of fluid may be useful for the optimal design of the thermal management system of an HEV battery.

하이브리드 자동차의 동력원으로 사용되는 150Ah 급 Ni/MH hybrid 진지 module의 fan에 의한 온도특성을 상용 software 인 fluent를 사용하여 해석하였다. 격자 수를 줄이기 위하여 전기저항 등가식을 이용하여 배터리내부를 단순화 하였으며, 유속과 압력의 상호관계를 이용한 fan 경계조건을 적용하였다. 배터리 모듈의 문제점은 중앙부분의 높은 온도 집중현상과 배터리간의 온도편차로 인한 배터리의 내구성과 효율이 떨어지는 데 있다. 배터리마다 동일한 유량의 공기가 통과하도록 유로를 개선하고 흡입구의 위치와 팬의 위치를 변화하는 것으로 온도편차 및 온도 집중현상을 완화할 수 있다. 본 연구를 통하여 유로에 따른 온도 변화를 제시함으로써 하이브리드 자동차용 배터리 module의 최적 열관리 기술개발에 효과적으로 활용될 수 있다. The drawbacks of battery module are the decrease of battery charging efficiency and battery's durability because of temperature deviation among modules and concentrated high temperature. It improves every battery the route of fluid so that the air of identical flux passes. The temperature declination and temperature concentration phenomenon is eased through change the location of the fan with the location of the entrance. The temperature change according to the route of fluid may be useful for the optimal design of the thermal management system of an HEV battery.

The drawbacks of carpet upright cleaner are low cleaning efficiency and noise. In order to estimate the cleaning efficiency of carpet upright cleaner, CFD and Particle Tracking Method are used. Using the developed method, the effect of rotational speed and wall shape was investigated. Through the case studies, it was found out that the cleaning efficiency of carpet upright cleaner can be improved by adjusting rotational speed and wall shape. The analysis method developed in this study shows the possibility to improve the cleaning efficiency of carpet upright cleaner by adjusting the interrelated design variables.

In order to estimate the cleaning efficiency and pressure drop of carpet upright cleaner, CFD and Particle Tracking Method are used. Using the developed method, the effect of rotational speed was investigated. Through the case studies, it was found out that the cleaning efficiency of carpet upright cleaner can be improved by adjusting rotational speed. Also, the trend of pressure drop and cleaning efficiency of each particle size were discussed. The analysis method developed in this study shows the possibility to improve the cleaning efficiency of carpet upright cleaner by adjusting the interrelated design variables.

Because of carpets size smaller, using of vacuum cleaner for large carpet is decresed and increased the using of Air Turbine for domestic vacuum cleaner for small size carpet. Also Air turbine is essential part to clean the car seat, small carpet for stairs. Besides the Air turebine, there are vacuum cleaner which using similar way to use kinetic energy for rotating the fan. Exising cleaner is blanket brush which is that have bigger agitator than Air turbine, but it use same way to rotating agitator. However, the blankets friction is lower than carpets friction, it doesnt need higher torque than Air turbine. So result of studiying the Air turbine contribute improvement of performance for other cleaner.

Also Turbo brush is essential part to clean the car seat, small carpet for stairs. Besides the Turbo brush, there are vacuum cleaner which using similar way to use kinetic energy for rotating the fan. Existing cleaner is blanket brush which is that have bigger agitator than Turbo brush, but it use same way to rotating agitator. However, the blanket’s friction is lower than carpet’s friction, it doesn’t need higher torque than Turbo brush.
