In line with the trend towards electrification in mobility, there is a demand for the development of nextgeneration Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors(MLCCs) with superior properties compared to those using the conventional BaTiO3 (BT) ceramics. For this, various high-performing ferroelectric ceramics have been proposed as post-BT materials, and numerous studies have been conducted on the role of oxygen vacancies within these materials. It has been confirmed that oxygen vacancies in the ceramic material have a significant impact on various properties such as oxygen ionic conduction, IR degradation, microstructure, aging degradation, and hardening effect, and by controlling the concentration and mobility of oxygen vacancies, it is possible to adjust these properties. We hope that research on the role of oxygen vacancies in various high-performing ferroelectric ceramics will be utilized as a foundation of knowledge for the development of next-generation MLCCs in the future.
WO<sub>3</sub>/NiO 상호 보완적인 구조의 전고체 전기변색 필름

An all-solid-state electrochromic film was fabricated by laminating tungsten oxide (WO<sub>3</sub>) and nickel oxide (NiO) thin films deposited by a reactive DC magnetron sputtering on flexible ITO films. The influence of oxygen partial pressure on the crystal structure, microstructure, optical properties, and electrochromic properties of WO<sub>3</sub> and NiO thin films were investigated. WO<sub>3</sub> and NiO films showed the best electrochromic properties under the flow of Ar:O<sub>2</sub>=80:20 and Ar:O<sub>2</sub>=90:10, respectively. The EC film fabricated with an optimized WO<sub>3</sub> and NiO films showed a high coloration efficiency, a fast response time, and a stable optical modulation. It is expected that flexible EC window films will pave the way for the next-generation energy-saving windows.

The low-temperature deposition of BaNi<sub>(2-x)</sub>Co<sub>x</sub>Fe<sub>16</sub>O<sub>27</sub> thin films with a Ba hexaferrite structure for electromagnetic shielding was studied. The BaNi<sub>(2-x)</sub>Co<sub>x</sub>Fe<sub>16</sub>O<sub>27</sub> thin films produced through the spin spray process were suitable for thin film deposition on a flexible substrate because it crystallized well at low temperature below 90℃. The change in shielding characteristics depending on the Co content of the BaNi<sub>(2-x)</sub>Co<sub>x</sub>Fe<sub>16</sub>O<sub>27</sub> thin film was investigated, and excellent shielding characteristics with S21 of -1 dB were obtained in a wide frequency range of 26~40 GHz when the Co content was 0.4 or more. The purpose of this study is to analyze changes in shielding properties caused by change in Co content in relation to phase changes in BaNi<sub>(2-x)</sub>Co<sub>x</sub>Fe<sub>16</sub>O<sub>27</sub> and obtain basic data for developing excellent flexible electromagnetic wave shielding materials.
