비형식 과학교육자 양성 및 전문성 신장을 위한 교육과정 개발

이 연구는 비형식 과학교육 분야의 전문가 양성 및 전문성 강화를 위한 교육과정을 개발하는 것을 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 먼저 3명의 비형식 과학교육자를 대상으로 면담을 실시한 후, 154명의 비형식 과학교육자 및 관심 있는 사람들을 대상으로 교육 요구에 대한 온라인 설문 조사를 실시였다. 면담 및 설문 조사 결과, 비형식 과학교육자들은 그들의 직무와 관련하여 발전을 위한 연수의 기회를 갖기 어려운 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 비형식 과학교육자 양성 및 전문성 계발을 위한 단계별로 구성된 체계적 교육과정이 마련되어야 하며, 오프라인 형태로 전문 인력 간 네트워크 구축이 가능하도록 하고, 역량과 전문성이 신장될 수 있도록 이론과 실제를 조화롭게 구성할 것이 요구되었다. 수료 후에는 공신력 있는 자격증을 제공하고, 현장에서 활동이 가능하도록 지속적으로 지원해 주는 것이 필요하다고 생각하였다. 또한 면담 및 설문 조사 결과, 전문가 협의회를 통해 수렴된 의견을 바탕으로 비형식 과학교육자 양성 및 훈련을 위한 교육과정을 개발하였다. 개발한 교육과정 구성 안에 대해서는 두 차례 전문가 협의회를 통해 전문가 의견을 수렴·반영하여 수정, 완하였다. 교육과정은 대상자에 따라 기본, 심화, 전문과정으로 단계별로 구성하였으며, 각 단계의 교육과정은 공통과정과 분야별 선택교육과정 및 실습으로 구성하였다. 마지막으로 교육과정의 효과적인 운영 방안에 관하여 제언하였다. The purpose of this study was to develop curriculum for nurturing informal science educators and enhancing professional of them. To do this, we interviewed 3 informal science educators, and performed online survey for 154 people who are concerned with informal science education including informal science educators about their educational needs. The interview and survey revealed that informal science educators had little chance of training for improvement on their job. And also, systematic phased curriculum, offline education enabling them to network, and combining theory with practice were required. They suggested a public certification and job referral service should be offered after completing the training. Based on our analysis of the interview and survey results and experts review comments, we developed curriculum for nurturing and training professionals in informal science education. The curriculum consists of 3 coures – entry course, advanced course, mastery course. Effective ways to operate the curriculum were discussed.

성공적인 성취자의 심층 면담을 통한 영재교육의 방향성 탐색

이 연구는 사회적으로 성공한 인사들의 성취에 영향을 준 요인을 조사하고 영재교육의 개선 방향을 도출하기 위해 수행되었다. 이를 위해 성취자 60명을 대상으로 6개 분야(교육, 전공, 가정 및 부모, 대인관계, 여가시간, 업적 및 성공요인)에 대해 반 구조화된 심층면담을 실시하였 다. 연구 결과 많은 성취자들은 적극적인 학생이었으며, 가정은 화목하고 자율적이었고, 차별화 교육 및 학생 중심의 교육이 중요하다고 생각하였다. 개인적으로는 멘티를 지도하고 있지 않다 는 응답자가 많았다. 전공 결정 및 교육은 재능과 흥미의 발견 시기에 맞춰 이뤄져야 한다고 응답하였다. 여가시간 활동으로는 운동, 음악, 독서를 중요시하였으며, 성취의 원동력이 된 것은 호기심, 자신감 등 개인 내적 특성이었다. 영재교육을 수혜한 성취자들은 영재교육의 경험이 성취에 중요한 영향을 준 것으로 인식하고 있었다. 면담 결과를 영재교육의 개선 방향과 관련지 어 시사점을 논의하였다. The purpose of this study was to investigate factors that affected achievement of socially succeeded people, and to draw ways to improve gifted education. To do this, we interviewed 60 achievers. The interview was administrated as semi-structured deep interview about 6 areas - education, major, family and parent, personal relationship, leisure time activity, achievement and motivation of success. The results showed that achievers were active students during their school days. They thought differentiated education and student-centered lessons are important. Many achievers answered they do not have any personal mentee, and decision of majors and education should be matched with the perception of one's potential and interest. Exercises, music, and reading books were strongly suggested as leisure time activities, and the key inner factors for success were curiosity and self-confidence. Beneficiaries of gifted education perceived their experience of gifted education had a positive influence on their achievement. Based on the these results, ways to improve gifted education were discussed.
