An improved series-parallel resonant converte using auxiliary winding of resonant inductor i presented The conventional series-para1lel resonan converter and newly developed converter are compared for high voltage application. This proposed converter gives several merits such a wide load ranges, sma1l circulating current, low peak voltage at no load. Two experimental results for the proposed converter and conventional one are presented for conventional LCC type converter and the proposed one.

The emerging applications such as reliable back-up power system and renewable energy call for high boost DC-DC converter. The conventional topologies to get high output voltage are using flyback circuit, cascade converters, and coupled inductor DC-DC converter. They have the stress and loss related to the leakage energy which results in low efficiency. In this paper, novel high boost converter is presented. It has a structure of cascade boost converter but only one switch. Therefore, drive circuit is simple and extreme duty ratio is eliminated. To verify the proposed circuit, theoretical analysis and experimental results has been done using a prototype power supply.

There exists an acute need for high voltage solid-state-switches in a broad area of applications with the proposed method using simple voltage balancing circuit with series connected IGBTs, it is realized high voltage semiconductor switches with working voltages of several order kilo-volts. Th operation principle of the proposed circuit is explained and analyzed. Transient and static voltage-balancing is tested on a experimenta 3kV /45A switch with four series-connected IGBTs.

The non-thermal pasteurization of foods using High Voltage High Current Pulsed Electric Fields (HVHC-PEF) is a promising technology and a sound complement or replacement to traditional thermal pasteurization The conventional thermal method also inactivates bacteria and other microorganisms harmful to humans, but degrades natural color, flavor, texture and nutrients. At this point, a non thermal pasteurization technique, HVPEF is thought to be a new processing technique which is able to produce a good quality foods nutritional as well as sensuous In this paper, the system for HVHC-PEF pasteurization is presented. It use square wave pulse instead of exponential ones. So, power rating of system is reduced considerably. Design considerations for 20㎸ 500A class equipment are analyzed and experimental results are discussed.<br/> <br/>
