We constructed the test track to evaluate the operation of Bi-modal Tram system, and constructed the exclusive pavement that designed environment-friendly track-type concrete pavement only for Bi-modal tram. Based on the analysis of exclusive pavement and the result of acceleration test, we performed the design and construction of environment-friendly track-type concrete pavement. By loading the Bi-modal tram vehicle to 3-dimension continuum finite element, it is secured the pavement performance and cast in place method and precast method was applied on construction. In conclusion, it appeared that the operation of Bi-modal tram on the test track paved the environment-friendly track-type concrete pavement is secured.

The purpose of this study is to perform 3-dimension continuum finite element numeric analysis about the section of environment-friendly track-type concrete pavement on exclusive track for operation of New transit system Bi-modal Tram and calculate the strain and stress of the section, then examine the pavement performance based on the fatigue model. In result of comparison between accelerated pavement test / measuring test about the section of pavement and the finite element numeric analysis, it is analyzed that the durability of new developed environment-friendly track-type concrete pavement is expected over 20 years.

The status and effectiveness of Bi-modal Tram is analyzed through the comparison of the transport effectiveness and operation cost between the public transportation systems (bus, light rail transit) considering the vehicle and operation characteristic of new transit system Bi-modal Tram. The standard operation schedule is established in consideration of the vehicle specification and operation characteristic of main public transportation modes, and then the annual average operation cost is estimated depending on the volume, speed, analysis length for respective public transportation mode. Through analyzing the operation cost and distribution characteristic of public transportation modes depending on the transport volume and travel speed, the operational efficiency suitable for the city is derived. It is concluded that the operational efficiency of Bi-modal Tram is superior to that of the bus and light rail transit on the aspect of travel volume and operation speed.

We constructed the test track to evaluate the operation of Bi-modal Tram system, and constructed the exclusive bridge which deck was designed track-type precast concrete open slab based on the test analysis/results crossing the intersection. By loading the Bi-modal tram vehicle to plate element, it is secured the structural stability of track-type precast concrete open slab. The construction of track-type precast concrete open slab was completed quickly using the precast method. In conclusion, it appeared that the operation of Bi-modal tram on the test track installed the track-type precast concrete open slab is secured.

The purpose of this study is to estimate the materials performance and structural stability depending on the non-linear finite element analysis about the environment-friendly track-type precast open concrete slab on the exclusive bridge for operation of new transit system Bi-modal tram. We manufactured the real size of two experimental member, and performed the static loading test and analysis of the mechanical movement characteristic at the various loading position. In result of comparison between the design loads of Bi-modal Tram and nominal shear strength, it appeared that the experimental member is secured.
바이모달 트램 운행을 위한 도심지 고가구조물 기초형식 개발

The necessities of development of foundation having minimized occupying area and construction time are required for overpass in the downtown area by which bimodal tram will pass a crossway. We are studying a single column drilled pier foundation which is continuous from pier to pile foundation. Due to the increased resisting moment by reinforced steel which is ranged from the upper part of pile to lower part of column above ground, it can be possible to make a smaller pile-section and lessen the bar reinforcing. And for the excavation work is possible with smaller equipment, this foundation has a improved constructability and economical efficiency. This foundation needs smaller amount of concrete and has a small self-weight. It has an effect on improving resistance against earthquake due to improved ductility in addition to improved rigidity by interaction between concrete and steel.
