The radiator emits high-temperature heat generated in the engine. The aluminum radiator that is light-weighted and has an excellent heat transfer is used for high efficiency engines. The aluminum radiator was introduced in the construction equipment in the late 2000s, and since then the reliability of radiator has been improved by the efforts of manufacturers. The radiator is exposed to a high temperature when the engine is running and to a low temperature when the engine stops. The radiator is failed by the fatigue due to the cyclic expansion and contraction. In this paper, we estimate a reliability parameter for the radiator by performing the life test with the thermal shock by alternatively circulating high temperature fluid and low temperature fluid directly to the radiator. And the durability of the improved radiator is evaluated using a Weibayes analysis.

The check valve performs the function of protecting the pump from abnormal conditions in the piping system. The pressure variation caused by water hammer can be obtained using the Joukosky equation. We reproduced the water hammer phenomenon in the constructed test equipment. The pressure rise of the water hammer phenomenon was confirmed in proportion to the pressure applied to the single disk check valve. The pressure rise of the water hammer phenomenon at an applied pressure of (3.5~10) bar was three times the applied pressure. The multi-disc check valve is closed by the weight of the main disc and the sub discs, so the bottleneck of the fluid outlets prevents water hammer. The test confirmed that when the water hammer is applied to the check valve, the pressure of the multi-disc check valve rises less than that of the single-disc check valve.

The brazed plate heat exchanger is lightweight but has excellent heat transfer performance. So, it has been used in various industries as well as refrigeration and air conditioning. Its failure effects on performance and life of the overall system which it is used. Especially, the life is very important because it is directly related to the economical problem of companies. In normal condition, the life test time is generally so long. This paper presents the accelerated stress factors needed for performance of acceleration life test, which are confirmed through failure mode analysis of brazed plate heat exchanger, and introduces the optimal acceleration model. And, the accelerated life test is performed in accordance with the proper test plan using the stress factors such as pressure and temperature. Reliability measures such as MTTF and B10 life for the brazed plate heat exchanger is estimated by statistical analysis of the test data.

The environmental tests is a branch of the reliability tests. The environmental tests has recently been important in the industry. High and low temperature tests has been performed in the basic tests of the environmental tests. So high and low temperature tests has been extensively increased in the industry. The MIL-STD-810G w/Change 1 is used as the basic standards to perform the environmental tests. In this paper, It is reviewed in the method for high and low temperature test of the MIL-STD-810G w/Change 1. The product has to operate in climates of the world in which is expected to be used. The climates of the world is different climatic conditions depending on the location. The product is produced, transported and stored in each different condition. So the product is exposed in a variety of conditions, such as high and low temperature. The purpose of the temperature tests obtains data to help evaluate effects of high(or low) temperature conditions on safety, integrity, and performance during storage, operation, and manipulation.
수 충격에 의한 체크밸브의 동적 성능 예측을 위한 실험 연구

Purpose: In this study, the dynamic performance by the reproduced water hammer was compared and analyzed according to the shape of the check valve. Methods: The pressure variation caused by water hammer can be obtained using the Joukowsky equation. In actual pipe systems, water hammer occurs in long pipe of several km, but it is impossible to install long pipe in the laboratory environment due to the space constraints. Therefore, the test equipment by installation a pressure tank was developed to replace the long pipe. Results: The pressure of the water hammer phenomenon rises in proportion to the applied pressure at the check valve outlet, and the pressure rise was about three times the applied pressure. Conclusion: The main parameters affecting the water hammer were the applied pressure and the shape of check valve. It was confirmed that the effect of the applied pressure was greater than the effect of the shape of the check valve. It was verified that the multi-disc check valve performs the function of protecting the pump more than single-disc check valve from the water shock of the pipe system. The initial framework has been constructed and reported at the 2017 conference of the KSME [1].

Air conditioning energy consumption in data center accounted for 40% of energy. The local cooling system compared to the conventional cooling method may be 35% energy savings. A deterioration of IT equipment directly connected to the calorific value for effective management of a data center, the lifetime can be extended further than ever. So the use of the local cooling system will be expanded extensively. In this paper, the reliability evaluation of the local cooling system for failure analysis and test methods(total performance test and environmental test, safety test, life test) are presented. And the results of reliability evaluation of are presented.
