The object of this paper is to diminish the transmitted force form engine which is the main cause of noise and vibration of automobile. The excitation source and characteristics of rubber mounts have to be examined closely to meet the purpose. The excitation source is traced theoretically and experimently about 4-cycle gasoline engine at the time of the engine firing. A engine mount model considered in this paper is described as the system having 3 dampers and 3 nonlinear springs about the direction of principle axes as rectangular type. A engine and transmission has 6 D.O.F as rigid body and chassis has 4 D.O.F (lst torsional. 1st lateral. 2nd lateral and 1st vertical) by modal test about chassis with removed engine and T/M. Nonlinear characteristics(superharmonic. subharmonic and fractional harmonic resonance) of the total system obtained by simulation is explained by using 2 D.O.F with 2nd and 3rd order nonlinear terms. In particular, dominant superharmonic and subharmonic resonance are necessary to be avoided because they may cause new resonance to the system.<br/>

The acoustic power reduction methods of the vibrating structures are valid to design the quite structure. To calculate the acoustic power, the dynamic responses have to be determined. It is not easy to analyse the structure composed of the corrugated panels. Because of the structural complexity and the many analysing times. To make up for these defects, the equivalent orthogonal panel is presented. Also the acoustic power prediction method of the vibrating structures is proposed. As examples, the equivalent material properties of the corrugated plates are obtained and the acoustic powers of the floor structure are calculated at several frequency regions for KHST.
