The recovery process of the useful solvents from the industrial waste of the biocide production process was studied. The waste includes significant amount of ethyl acetate that is very useful in many industries. But the waste is very toxic and highly acidic. The ethyl acetate extracted by this new designed process composed with neutralization and distillation showed commercially acceptable purity. The purity of the obtained ethyl acetate was over 99.5% and recovery yield was over 60%.
1,2,4-Triazine Ⅰ ; 6-Oxo-1,6-dihydro-1,2,4-triazine 유도체의 Tautomeric 평형에 관한 연구

잘 알려져 있지 않는 6-oxo-1,6-dihydro-1,2,4-triazine 유도체 합성을 시도하였다. 가능한 각 tautomer의 model화합물을 합성하고 이들의 UV Spectra를 물과 alcohol용매 상에서 비교하여 tautomeric 평형을 검토하였다. 기대했던 상당량의 6-hydroxy tautomer는 관찰되지 않고 대부분 6-oxo-tautomer로 용액상태에서 존재함을 알았다. Synthesis of 6-oxo-1,6-dihydro-1,2,4-triazine derivatives was tried. The model compounds of the possible tautomers were synthesized. The tautomeric equilibrium of 6-oxo-1,6, dihydro-1,2,4-triazine derivatives was determined by comparing their UV spectra and those of model compounds. 6-oxo-tautomer was exclusively detected in water and alcohol solutions without observation of the expected 6-hydroxy tautomers.

In ethylene plant, the foulant generation is a troublesome issue during the process operation and its formation can be resisted by the antifoulant. In an attempt to provide an efficient antifoulant, the characteristics and the factors causing foulant generation were studied. In addition, the characteristics and evaluation method of the efficiency of antifoulant were investigated. As a result, one of the main factor for the cause of foulant is known to the formation of gums by radical polymerization of olefins in the process streams. The simulation experiment using Autoclave was performed to measure the extend of gum formation suggesting of its potential as a testing method of the antifouling agents.
