Dead-end 형 UF막에 의한 오염물질 제거특성 및 투과플럭스 거동에 관한 연구

Dead-end ultrafiltration using membranes of four different molecular weight cut-offs was applied to filter synthetic water, prepared by kaolin, humic acid and tannic acid. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the removal rates of pollutants and the characteristics of permeate flux. Results showed that particles were effectively removed for all tested membranes through the sieving mechanism on the surface of membrane. But in a filtration of humic acid and tannic acid, organics were rejected on the surface of membrane and in the pore of membrane, based on the difference between molecular weight of organic materials and size of membrane pore. And as concentration of inorganic matters increases, permeate flux through large MWCO membrane declines, whereas permeate flux of small MWCO-UF dosen't significantly decline. Also effect of organic matters on the behavior of permeate flux is various, based on how they are rejected by ultrafiltration membrane in all tested membranes.
