대학의 `실습·실기 수업평가` 문항 개발

이 연구는 ‘실습·실기 수업’의 특성을 평가할 수 있는‘실습·실기수업’ 평가 문항을 개발하기 위한 연구이다. 그간 강의평가 문항 개발이 다양한 형태로 이루어졌으나, 대부분의 강의식 수업을 평가하기 위한 문항개발이 이루어져서 실험실습이나 세미나, 모의상황, 역할연기 등의 다양한 수업 형태를 반영하기에는 어려움이 있었다. 이러한 다양한 수업 형태에 따른 교수의 수업평가가 이루어 질 수 있는 문항을 개발하기 위하여 ‘실습·실기 수업’평가 문항을 포함한 평가를 시행하고 있는 국내 15개 대학의 강의평가 설문지를 토대로‘ 실습·실기수업’평가 문항 1차 델파이 설문지(89문항)을 만들어 교육학 전문가 10명, 전국대학 교수학습센터와 학과 경력이 있는 실무자 5명, A대학 교수 5명, 총 20명의 응답으로 2회에 걸친 델파이 조사를 실시하였다. 1, 2차 델파이 조사를 통해 선정된 10개 문항 외에 전문가 토의와 A대학 검토 의견을 토대로 추가 문항 14개를 더 선정해 총 24개 문항을 선정하였으며 실제 ‘실습·실기수업’의 강의 평가에 적용할 수 있도록 어휘를 다듬었다. 설문문항의 적절성 및 타당성을 조사하기 위해 24개 문항을 포함한 강의평가 설문지를 만들어 A대학 교수와 학생들을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였으며, 조사 결과 24개 문항에 대한 평균 적절성 정도는 3.98로 높게 나타났으며, 신뢰도 분석 결과도 내적일치도 계수 .987 로 매우 높은 신뢰도를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구를 통해 ‘실습·실기 수업’이 수업의 중심이 되고 있는 학과나 전공영역에 개선된 강의 평가 문항 적용을 통해 향후 합리적인 강의평가 제도 정착에 기여 할 수 있을 것으로 보인다. This study aims the development of evaluation questions which estimate the characteristics of “practice and performance courses.” For this purpose, researchers designed 1st delphi questionnaire which pertain to the “practice and performance courses” evaluation (89 items). The questionnaire is based on the course evaluation questionnaire from 15 domestic universities. Selected questionnaire items include evaluation questions on “practice and performance courses.” The survey was done to 10 educationalists, 5 executives who have career in Center for Teaching and Learning from national universities, and 5 professors from A university. Total number of subjects is 20 and the delphi research was operated twice. Researchers selected 24 items in total. 10 items were chosen from 1st and 2nd delphi research and the other 14 items were chosen by experts discussion and opinions from A university. Vocabularies were modified in order to apply to the evaluation questions of actual “practice and performance classes.” For the adequacy and validity of the questionnaire items, survey was conducted to the professors and students of A university. According to the results, average adequacy of 24 items scored 3.98 which is high. Reliability analysis result also appeared to be high, internal consistency coefficient was .987. This research would contribute to the settlement of logical course evaluation, through the application of the developed course evaluation questionnaire items to the departments or major fields that “practice and performance courses” are centered.

대학교수들의 수업행동의 중요도-실행도 인식 분석에 근거한 대학 수업컨설팅

최근 학생 역량에 대한 강화 뿐 아니라 학생교육을 위한 교수의 교육역량 훈련에 대한 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 이에 따라 교수의 교육역량을 향상시키기 위한 방법으로 수업컨설팅이 하나의 방법으로 사용되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 서울 소재 S대학에서 2016년부터 2019년도까지 수업컨설팅에 참여한 교수를 대상으로 수업컨설팅이 수업행동에 미치는 효과를 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 먼저 교수가 실제 교육현장에서의 겪고 있는 어려움을 조사하고, 수업행동에 대한 중요도 인식과 실제 수업에서의 실행도의 차이를 분석하였다. 그리고 수업컨설팅 전과 후 수업행동에서의 실행도 차이를 분석함으로써 수업컨설팅의 효과성을 살펴보았다. S대학 교수는 학생들의 수준 차이와 개인별 이해정도의 차이가 서로 상이하다는 점이 가장 큰 어려움의 요인으로 나타났다. 그리고 수업행동 중 수업에 대한 열의, 학생들과 상호작용, 적절한 사례설명은 중요하다고 인식하였으나, 이에 비해 실행도는 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 그 중에서도 학생들과의 상호작용, 학생별 학습 진행 관심, 공정한 평가와 피드백의 항목은 차이가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 수업컨설팅의 효과성에 대해서는 언어적ㆍ비언어적 표현, 학생들과 상호작용, 수업설계 및 진행, 학생별 학습 진행 관심, 자료와 매체 활용, 수업에 대한 성찰, 수업개선을 위한 교육방법 모색의 항목에서 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 총 10개의 항목 중 3개의 항목을 제외한 부분으로 수업컨설팅 참여 후 수업행동에 대해 긍정적인 변화가 이루어졌음을 알 수 있다. 이와 같이 수업컨설팅은 대학 교수를 위한 교육훈련의 방법으로서 효과적인 방법임을 다시 한 번 검토하였으며, 교수의 교육적 어려움과 인식을 통해 수업컨설팅이 방향이 제시되어야 할 필요가 있다. Recently, the necessity of training of the teaching competency has been raised. Accordingly, instructional consulting is used as a method to improve the educational capacity of professors. Therefore, this study analyzed the difference between the importance and practice of the teaching problem and the actual behavior in the class for the instructional consultants from 2016 to 2019 at S University in Seoul. And the effectiveness of it was examined by analyzing the difference in practice in class behavior through the consulting. The biggest difficulty of S university professors was that the difference between the level difference of students and the degree of individual understanding. Among the class behaviors, enthusiasm for the class, interaction with students, and appropriate case explanation were perceived to be important, but the practice was lower than those. Among them, there were significant differences in interaction with students, interest in learning progress by students, fair evaluation and feedback. As for the effectiveness of consulting, there were significant differences in the items of verbal and nonverbal expression, interaction with students, class design and progress, interest in learning by students, utilization of materials and media, reflection on class, and search for educational methods for class improvement. This is the part except for 3 items out of 10 items, and it can be seen that positive changes have been made in class behavior after participating in consulting. As such, it is once again considered that instructional consulting is an effective method for university professors, and it is necessary to suggest a direction of teaching consulting through the educational difficulties and perception of professors.

대학 교수학습센터 역할 수행 및 요구 분석 연구

최근 대학 평가와 재정 지원 사업 선발과 운영 과정에서 교수학습센터의 역할의 중요성이 더욱 부각되고 있다. 수업과 학업 역량 강화를 위한 교수학습지원 프로그램을 개발하고 운영하는 수준을 넘어서 대학교육의 질 관리와 역량 강화를 위해 보다 선도적 역할을 수행해 줄 것을 기대를 받고 있다. 이러한 상황에서 교수학습센터의 전문가들은 현재 대학 교수학습센터들이 강화된 기능을 수행할 수 있는 조건을 실질적으로 확보하고 있는지, 역할 기대를 충족하기 위해 강화되어야 할 사항은 무엇인가에 대해 조사가 필요가 있다는 문제를 제기하고 있었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 대학 교수학습센터의 역할 수행 현황에 대한 분석, 역할 수행에서 제기되는 장애요인 규명, 기능 강화를 위한 방안을 탐색하였다. 설문조사와 심층면담을 통한 조사 결과, 현재 많은 교수학습센터는 기존의 업무 외에 교육역량 강화를 위한 사업평가 및 관리 그리고 각종 국고사업과 대학평가를 지원하는 역할을 수행하고 있는 것으로 파악되었다. 또한 교수학습센터의 전문가들은 현재 조직의 직무 안정성과 대우 수준, 업무량의 적절성, 예산 운영 등의 측면에 문제가 있음을 지적하였고, 이런 상황을 개선하기 위해서는 각종 대학평가 준거에서 교수학습센터 관련 평가지표에 조직의 안정성과 전문성을 실질적으로 평가할 수 있는 지표가 포함되거나 세분화된 항목으로 보완되어야 하며, 전문성 향상을 위한 전문가 재교육과정이 필요하다는 점을 강조하고 있었다. The importance of the ‘Center for Teaching and Learning(CTL)’ is more emphasized nowadays in the selecting process of the university competency evaluation and government funded projects. Thus, the CTL is expected to take the lead in quality management and competency enhancement of university education, not just the education program provider for better teaching and learning. In this context, professionals in the CTLs are questioning whether the CTL has the ideal environment to perform these new and important roles. Also, they say that we need research about what needs to be done to strengthen the CTL’s performance. In this study, we analyzed the current status of the university teaching and learning center, identified the obstacles, and searched for ways to strengthen the function. Through questionnaires and in-depth interviews (FGI), most of the CTLs are now playing important roles in program evaluation and quality assurance works for the government funded projects and University assessment while they do the original tasks such as operating lots of teaching and learning programs. Also, experts in the CTL pointed out that there are problems in terms of job stability, level of treatment, appropriateness of the workload and budget management of the current CTL organization. To improve this situation, the results proposed the following suggestions. First, it is suggested that an index for evaluating the stability and professionalism of the CTL should be included or supplemented with detailed items in the university evaluation. Second, re-education program of the professionals in the CTL is needed to enhance their expertise.
