Gas insulated switchgear (GIS) was replaced with indoor, compact, and closed-terminal types in accordance with emphasis on maintenance, safety and facilitation. There is a drawback of the long duration in the accident-restoration caused by the impossibility of verification for the fault section within easy range of a technician in the existing GIS facility. Therefore, the partial discharge (PD) measurement techniques were used in the applied voltage state. In this study, the criterion point of PD detector for GIS was obtained by verifying the huge amount of data in the installed and operated systems under Korea Railroad corporation. The criterion point for the judgment on existence/absence of the PD occurrence in GIS was determined with realignment of criterion value through the reflection of the corresponding warning number by detecting pC and PPS values of the ultra high frequency sensor in abnormality and the adjacent sensor. As a result, the scientific and systematic judgment of criterion in the maintenance was secured not only to decrease in economic losses by use-suspension of the operating equipments but also to prevent the accidents by the PD in advance.

In order to improve air quality of indoor environment, studies of the underfloor air distribution (UFAD) system for application in buildings are actively in progress based on temperature and air flow distribution. However, although the age of air is the major evaluation parameter, there has been very little study on this parameter for the UFAD system. In this study, we investigated the age of air to reach the air diffuser, which is installed at the bottom of the interior by the UFAD system. Computational fluid dynamics simulations showed no regular pattern to the maximum value of the age of air in accordance with air flow rate and the velocity at air diffuser. These factors can be deduced from air movement by considering that air emitted from air conditioners was rotated according to the bottom shape of the floor, and then, the age of air in the rotation center was increased. The average age of air of internal interior was reduced considerably as the flow velocity at the underfloor air diffuser was increased from 0.5 m/s to 1.0 m/s However, the age of air was not substantially affected with change in the air volume. Moreover, when the flow velocity at the underfloor air diffuser was higher than 1.0 m/s, the age of air showed no significant difference with change in air volume or height of measurement. These results imply that indoor air quality is more substantially influenced by flow velocity than air volume, and the appropriate flow velocity is 1 m/s or more.

국가경제의 발전과 더불어 국민의 생활수준이 향상되면서 여름철 냉방전력소비가 증가하는 추세를 보이고 있으며, 특정시간대에 편중되어 국가적으로 전력수요관리에 큰 차질을 빚고 있다. 이러한 여름철의 높은 냉방전력소비를 해결하기 위해서는 발전설비를 건설해야 하나, 건설비용의 문제와 발전설비 건설예정지의 주민집단반발 등에 의해 어려움을 겪고 있다. 정부에서는 이와 같은 문제들을 해결하기 위해 심야전기를 사용하는 빙축열시스템과 흡수식냉동기의 사용을 권장하고 있다. 빙축열시스템은 값싼 심야전기를 이용하여 냉기를 저장하였다가 부하가 발생하는 주간이 냉방을 하는 방식이다. 특히 주간에 집중되는 전력소비 경향을 억제할 수 있으며, 사용자는 운전비용의 절감효과를 볼 수 있다. 그러나 빙축열시스템은 타 냉방시스템보다 장비가 많아 시스템이 복잡해지는 단점을 가지고 있으며, 장비선정에 있어서도 고려되어야 할 사항들이 많기 때문에 시스템 설계 시 많은 어려움이 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 빙축열시스템 설계를 간편하고, 정확하게 할 수 있도록 프로그램을 개발하였다. 그리고 실제 빙축열시스템의 설치 및 운전을 통해 얻은 운전비와 설계 프로그램으로 구한 값을 비교해 보았다. 또한 시뮬레이션 프로그램을 통해 사무용건물의 소비전력량 및 운전비용을 손쉽게 구할 수 있는 수식을 산출하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서 개발한 빙축열시스템 설계 프로그램은 시스템의 장비선정 및 소비전력과 운전비용을 예측하는데 많은 도움이 될 것이라고 사료된다. With increase the GNP, electric consuption is increasing. To reduce the cost od building the power plant, ice thermal storage system was developed. but this system was very complicated as it need many equipment and considered the capacity, the characteristic of building etc. in selecting component. In this study the program was developed to design the ice thermal storage system more accurate more simply, and operating cost and electricity consumption showed the little difference between the real value and the prospective value by used program. In comparison with the traditional chiller, ice thermal storage system was higher in the initial investment cost'but the operation cost was lower, also the cost of operation and electric consumption was expressed by the equation based on the cooling load, load pattern'. This program showed that 3 result was used ini real cases was almost the same with by using this program.
先進地 彫刻美術 硏究 : 鄕土 彫刻美術 開發模索 A Development Plan for Sculpture in Local Communities

The traditional sculpture, in a narrow sense, was identified with the mere Buddha engravings without careful consideration. There arousing public opinion, these days, that we should free ourselves from that prejudice. There needs to try, in other words, to find out what the real aesthetics of the traditional sculpture is so that we can succeed its merit for the present time. For this goal, we have to extend the objects to various stonework pieces such as ritual tools, cemeterial pagodas, stone laterns, tomb stones, stone pillars, stone troughs, and so forth even in the realm of Buddhism, while lately we had paid attention to Buddha statues exclusively. In addition, we can include folk sculpture of stoneworks and woodenworks, due to the typical skill and style as well, which apperently show no connection with Buddhist sculpture. They are stone grandfathers, Maitreya, stone cats, wating-for-her-husband stones, tomb stone posts, subjects-stone-tomb-guards, devil posts, clay figures, puppets, and others. It is interesting, for instance, to note the rhythmical sense of clay figures and the realness and ample figuration of stone grandfathers both of which are unique representation. Particularly, Cheju stone grandfather is evaluated as one of the excellent master-pieces with its typical abstraction, which life-size figure expresses bulging eyes, well-protruding nose, and strong arms crossing each other in its big head and small body. It seems to demonstrate Herculean strength. Its function is read frequently as the gatekeeper ahead of the castle walls originally who defeats any devil spirit and unrighteousness. It is assumed that this possibly has been developed from the Cheju traditional gate ghost. It is asserted that modern sculptors should realize the transiting images and forms of arts in the standpoint of the traditional aesthetic and artistic sense firstly and then with this they can work out their originally. We have experienced the confusion lately when we adopted the various foreign trends without scrutinizing their essences and realizing the traditional reality, which results in incompatibility. Sometimes we misunderstood foreign streams as our own or fittable reality, most of which were introduced by second-handed Japanese mediation. Now, if we reevaluate our half-ten thousand tradition so as to revitalize the present situation, then we can bloom out the essence of our sculpture again on our own maternal ground.
