In this paper, the design of power supply for high power magnetron system is stuied. For magnetron drive, three kinds of power supply is required for main high voltage, magnet and heating filament. Detail design was accomplished with basic simulation and real system is developing based on basic design.

This paper introduces the combined test results of the traction system for KHST(Korean High Speed Train. hereafter refer to KHST) The main purpose of this combined test is to verifythe performance of the traction system that is designed to operate up to maximum 350km/h speed. This paper describes an AC voltage regulator using AC chopper and auxiliary transformer which 1S series connected with main input It has many advantages such as fast voltage control, high efficiency and low THD.<br/> A detail study of step down AC voltage regulator is described and two kinds of novel step-up/down voltage regulator for A VR are proposed The operation principle and PWM method of the proposed regulator are described. Experimental results show that It can be used as AC voltage regulator for special purpose very efficiently.

For the magnetron, two kinds of auxiliary power is required to generate proper heat and electromagnetic field. In this paper the development of filament power supply and magnet power supply for high power industrial magnetron is studied. The filament power supply which is generate proper heat, even it doesn't require high power like main power supplies, has many consideration such as high voltage insulation and power control coordinated with high voltage cathod current to maintain constant heat generation. The novel control method using constant resistance control is proposed for accurate control of filament power supply.

In this paper, a novel new pulse power generatorbased on IGBT stacks is proposed for pulse power application. Proposed scheme consists of series connected 9power stages to generate maximum 60㎸ output pulse and one series resonant power inverter to charge DC capacitor voltage. Each power stages are configured as 8 series connected power cells and each power cell generates up to 850VDC pulse. Finally pulse output voltage is applied using total 72 series connected IGBTs. The synchronization of gating signal is importantfor series operation of IGBTs. For gating signal synchronization, full bridge inverter and pulse transformer generates on-off signals of IGBT gating and specially designed gate power circuit was used.

Electric Vehicles (EV) have a history more than one century and global warming rekindles the issues on EV. Hence, many EV models are available in the market. We have developed eleven electric trucks for city delivery services. Some of the key issues related on the development is discussed including road test results.
