Amino-terminal copper and nickel(ATCUN) binding motif(NH<sub>2</sub>-XXH) have been used as an ensemble system with Cu(II) (probe-Cu<sup>2+</sup>) because the binding motif had a potent binding affinity for Cu(II) and Cu(II) fully quenched fluorophore of ATCUN binding motif. We synthesized fluorescent labeled peptides corresponding to ATCUN binding motif using NBD and sNBD fluorophores. The ensemble system with Cu(II) detected important biothiols including H<sub>2</sub>S. The addition of H2S promptly took Cu<sup>2+</sup> from the ensemble in pure buffered aqueous solutions, causing a “turn-on” fluorescent response. The ensemble sensitively detected the low concentration of H<sub>2</sub>S. In this feature article, we will discuss probes using ensemble system with Cu(II) in a buffered aqueous system and the selectivity of biothiols.

Strength evaluation for the wire is very important to avoid crack generation at the selection of materials and the structural design of semiconductor packages. This paper describes the strength evaluation for a wire with the copper-cored semiconductor package. A simplified FEM(Finite Element Method) model targeting issues at the package structural design was developed and its validity was checked against a more elaborated FEM model. From the FEM analysis of thermal stress induced by the difference of thermal expansion coefficients of the composite materials and the detection of crack generation during the thermal cyclic test, it has been proved that the point location where the maximum thermal stress appears coincides with the one where the crack occurs. Through a series of FEM analysis, it has been proved that the cause of a crack is strongly related to the gap between the lid and the copper core and the suitable length of the gap to prevent crack has been obtained. A new semiconductor package based on the proposed strength evaluation method is working well without cracking. Thus, the capability and validity of the proposed evaluation method has been proved.

NC-PRMA(Non-Collision Packet Reservation Multiple Access) is well known that it outperforms PRMA(Packet Reservation Multiple Access) in throughput since NC-PRMA has no collision of packets and employ reservation of the slot. However, NC-PRMA is only considered to voice traffic up to now. So, in this paper we consider the characteristics of NC-PRMA operating in both voice and data traffic. we apply throughput analysis scheme in equilibrium state used in PRMA to NC-PRMA. we examine the throughput and the voice packet dropping probability throughput analysis and simulation. The result show that NC-PRMA operating in both voice and data traffic outperforms PRMA in throughput and voice packet dropping probability

We present a new protocol, Host Mobility Support Protocol (HMSP) to aid host to move on the Internet. First, HMSP is easy to be introduced since it minimizes the variation of the existing network. Second, HMSP is operated among broadly dispersed multiple domains as well. Since we emploied the virtual subnet freely established in each domain, Mobility host existed in the virtual subnet in HMSP.

This paper presents the analysis of queueing model to be applied to the development of real-time system on the base of the computer To analyze the perfarmance of queue, we selected the queueing model, M/M/1 (N) which is employed in general and got the analysis result through simulation. This result becomes the important element when developing a real-time system with message queues.

In this paper, we propose a scheduling method which can guarantee the different QoS (Quality of Service) for each traffic flow in network. It is referred to as Queue Length Control Scheduling (QLCS). In the QLCS, control parameters such as mean and standard deviation of queue length which are based on the target delay of each queue, are previously obtained by M/G/1 model on-line. And then the parameters are exploited to scheduling. We find that the QLCS outperforms other schemes from simulation. The QLCS can achieve the target delay for each traffic flow in wider range than other schemes. We also find that the QLCS can achieve moderate performance even though it is used the different assumption from real packet length distribution or packet arrival distribution in process of obtaining the control parameters.

This paper presents the implemented communication control system using a processor(8032) to automatize a magnetizing process in manual. As using the implemented system, we were able to get the high quality and productiviy in the process of magnetizing. And this system was implemented to be able to provide the functions of statistics and analysis with the saved data in a database that was generated in magnetizing.
