To find out the level of optimum size in Korea Dairy Farming the author found the following results to investigate 120 dairy farms under the support of Seoul Dairy Cooperative. The optimum size of dairy farm in Korea was found a 21-head/farm as the optimum size through the estimation of the milk production cost. Also, given the market condition, the optimum size to maximize the producers profit was found a 25 head/farm. Considering the average farm size of 13 head/farm in the survey, it could have some implications to be increased it's size in the future. Excessive capital investment, furthermore, was made at the early made stage of business in the size of less 10 head/farm. which also gave implications that the possibles to be increased the business size in Korean Dairy Farming.

Food industry is progressed along with marked economic development and it is closely reflected to the changes in comsumption pattern of foods affected by the various social changes (nature, culture, social). This study purposed to investigate the developing steps and analyze the marketing structure of food industry in Japan where is similar to Korea in many ways. And by looking at the knowledge of the various factors. it is suggested how food industry is being developed in the future prospect of Korea. Food industry includes a combination of three, such as manufacturing, marketing and meal outside home. Food industry in Japan is expanding rapidly with economic development, however the size of the business engaged in food industry are rather small. This phenomena is more commonly shown in processing type than in material type. It can be explained by two: food industry was started with household size and business charactor itself, that is, at the beginning, food manufacture business was mostly involved on the material type but later on, the trend has been changed to processing type that gives higher profit and management also switched into the wide variety of kinds with small production. Food industry in Japan is facing a new phase along with the environmental situation such as the changes in comsumption pattern of food, internationalzation of business. The prices of local agricultural products are higher than those of foreign agriculture products and it is also insufficient in agricultural products which are available for the processing manufacture. It is important to recognized that development of food industry is achieved through the tight interaction with agricultural field which is the main supplier for the staple foods.

Recently the high value added agricultural products are increased in the world market trade. This means that any country which is poor in resources of the agricultural products would be able to produce and export them in the world market with keen competition edge. Korea is importing a lot of bulk commodities from foreign countries, and such a tendency is intensified every year. But she is relatively specialized in exporting food preparations of cereals. According to this analysis it would be possible for Korea to export the products processed with the imported bulky agricultural products, so that Korea can enjoy the high value added through processing.

Due to economic development the dairy industry in Korea has rapidly grown during the last decades. Since 1989 the increase of milk production was stopped and the income elasticity of milk seemed to be inelastic. In light of such a change of dairy industry the policy should implement toward the direction of stable growth. The market of raw milk is divided into two systems, the fluid and the manufactured milk market, and their prices should be differential in the two markets.
한국과 일본 양국 농가 경제에서 농업생산성의 비교 연구

This study is a comparative analysis of agricultural productivity in the farm economy between Korea and Japan. The farms in Korea and Japan altogether have very small scales with around lha of arable land. Nevertheless the land productivity of the farmers in Japan is 1.5 times higher than that of Korea. This is not because of the natural and social conditions in agriculture, but because of the difference in the economic development between two countries. This analysis implicates that the productivity of the Korean farmers can be increased without enlarging the land scale. However we note that the Korean farmers should make the new agricultural production system with capital intensive and high technology production.

This study is aiming at discussing about the reasons why the Korean poultry industry has been shrieked and the ways how to develope it. In the initial stage the poultry industry could rapidly be expanded due to increased demand of chicken, which is relatively elastic to income. However, according to increasing income of the consumers, chicken can not be chosen as a high quality flood any longer, and consequently the real demand has been decreased having lower income elasticity. Under such situation, the policies should fundamentally be altered.
