읽기부진 학생을 위한 읽기유창성 지원시스템 사용성 평가

연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 읽기부진 아동을 위한 읽기유창성 지원 시스템의 사용성 평가를 통해 그것의 현장 적용 가능성을 확인하는 데 있다. 아울러 시스템 고도화를 위한 개선점에 대한 의견을 탐색하였다. 연구방법: 총 16명의 초등학교 교사들은 읽기유창성 지원시스템에 대한 가이드북을 읽고 테스트 주소를 통하여 충분히 탐색할 수 있는 시간을 가진 후, 유용성(5문항), 편리성(16문항), 편의성(3문항), 만족도(3문항)를 묻는 사용성 평가지를 완성하였다. 각 문항은 5점 평정척도로 구성되어 있으며, 마지막에는 시스템 고도화를 위한 개선점에 대한 자유의견을 기술하였다. 연구결과: 연구 참여자들은 읽기유창성 지원시스템에 대하여 전반적으로 학교 현장에서 사용하기에 유용하고(평균 4.79), 각 구성요소를 작동하기에 편리하며(평균 4.77), 사용하기 쉽고(평균 4.71), 만족하는 것으로 나타났다(평균 4.81). 추가적으로, 웹 사용 환경, 학급 및 학생 구성, 온라인 검사 도구의 실시 및 채점, 교재 및 보고서와 관련된 개선이 필요하다는 의견을 제시하였다. 결론: 본 연구에서 개발한 읽기유창성 지원시스템은 읽기가 어려운 학생들을 지원하기 위해 학교 현장에서 유용하고 편리하게 사용될 수 있음을 시사한다. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the usability of a reading fluency support system(RFSS) for students at risk in reading to confirm the possibility of field application. In addition, we explored suggestions for improvement to upgrade the system. Methods: A total of 16 elementary education teachers completed a usability survey including questions about usability (5 items), ease of use (16 items), ease of learning (3 items), and satisfaction(3 items) after exploring the RFSS through a testing site. The participants answered on a 5-point Likert scale for each item, and they provided suggestions for an open-ended question regarding the ways to improve the RFSS. Results: Results showed that teachers perceived the RFSS as a useful, easy-to-use, and easy-to-learn system, and their overall satisfaction was high. In addition, teachers provided suggestions regarding web environment, classroom and student management, administration and scoring of online assessments, and instructional materials and reports. Conclusion: The findings indicate that teachers can use the RFSS effectively to support students struggling with reading.
