In this paper, an algorithm is presented to estimate the distance between vehicles from a road image. First of all, a feature point is extracted from the combination light of a front vehicle in the night It is proposed the region of interest restriction to reduce the time of an image processing. A matching point is defined one of the highest gray level in the region of interest restriction and is accepted as the position of the front vehicle. To solve the correspondence problem with the matching point, the correlation coefficient is used. In this paper, parallel stereo Call1era setup is used to apply the constraint of epipolar geometry, and road images obtained by two CCD camera are digitalized and processed by a personal computer equipped with an image processing board.<br/> <br/>

In recent years abrasive water jet (AWJ) has received significant attention as a technology used in the manufacturing industry for cutting materials. In this paper we report the development of a new preparation method of abrasives for water jet by using an air bubbling sedimentation rate control technique. The SiC abrasives prepared by an air bubbling sedimentation rate control technique using latex resin are found to be superior to the conventional abrasives not only in surface roughness uniformity but also in lifetime. The AWJ test results also show that the former has also better impact-resistance and wear-resistance than the latter.
순흑조 흑백사진 프린팅을 위한 잉크젯 프린터 활용 방법 연구

For modern photographers, digital printer is no longer an unfamiliar device. There are many types of digital printers such as laser type, dye sublimation type and inkjet type. Professional photographers increasingly use the inkjet printers to print out their works. Digital type of inkjet printers can control the colors systematically. It can get better quality of color photos than silver halide. They can also print out their works at their homes. So the printer is popular for photographers who mainly handle color photos. But it isn`t easy to print out high quality of black-and-white photos with inkjet printer because of CMY system of the color ink of the printer. The manufacturer of the inkjet printers try to improve the drive function to enable the printers to print out quality of black-and-white photos. The users manager the black and white gradient using profiles to improve the quality of black-and-white photos of the inkjet printer. But the inkjet printer for photo printing uses color ink. So it seems to be basically difficult to get pure neutral black and white with the inkjet printer. So this research mixes the black ink(K, LK, LLK) of Ultrachrome K3 from EPSON to produce 8 types of black ink and inject it with 8 steps of gradients. As this printer uses only black-and-white ink, it can produce pure black and white photo and adjust detailed tone through profiling. As this monochrome printer also can produce warm and cusl tones depending on paper types, it can give the same impression of the existing black-and-white photos.
