Postirradiation angiosarcoma is an extremely rare condition. The authors experienced one case of angiosarcoma which developed on the left lower abdominal skin of the 68 year old woman where she had received total hysterectomy and radiotherapy for carcinoma of the cervix uteri 20 years ago. The rarity and unfamiliarity of this postirradiation angiosarcoma, which is the late complication of radiation therapy, have prompted a review of cutaneous postirradiation angiosarcoma.

In the severe destruction of lacrimal apparatus with naso-orbital bone fracture and failed previous procedures, it was impossible to restore the lacrimal apparatus into the normal anatomical position. The authors performed conjunctivorhinostomy with polyethylene tube by probing method in such cases. This method is implantation of permanent indwelling polyethylene tube from the caruncle site to nasal cavity. There are several advantages in this method. 1. The technique is simple, less traumatic and less time consuming operation. 2. Outpatient basis with local anesthesia. 3. Less postoperative care is required. 4. Good drainage to nasal cavity. The authors recommended this technique for the treatment of epiphora as the terminal procedures of lacrimal drainage.
수부 재접합술 환자 261예의 분석 및 그 기능회복의 결과

During the last 4 years, 261 cases of hand or finger replantations were carried out in 153 patients with a 82% overall success rate. We modified already established micro-vascular anastomosis techniques and applied tham to all our cases. High success rates were noted in the Guillotine type or local crushing type injuries, index or middle finger amputations and amputations involving zone IV or VI. Replantations of hypothermically preserved amputation parts also showed a high success rate but the ischemia time did not have a direct influence on the survival rate. Sensory functional recoveries were fully satisfactory in injuries involving zone Ⅱ, Ⅲ or Ⅳ within 1 year post-operatively and was directly related to the ischemia time or the nature of injury. In the majority of replantations of the Guillotine or local crushing type injuries involving zone Ⅲ or Ⅳ, the motor functional recoveries were good to excellent about 1 year after replantation. We also confirmed that the more proximal level of amputation, the higher survival rate, but with poor functional results.
