In manufacturing of injection molds, Optimization of the parameters for CAM process<br/> is indispensable factor for reduction of processing time and quality improvements. But<br/> most of manufacturing companies have not their standard optimized CAM parameter.<br/> Normally the working process rely on experience and know-how of engineers. Automotive wheel bearings are one of the most important components to guarantee the service life of a passenger car. The estimation of endurance life of a bearing includes many parameters such as material properties, heat treatment, lubrication conditions, temperature, loading conditions, geometry, internal clearance and so on. We developed practically useful simulation model relating principal design factors of wheel bearing units and car specifications to estimate endurance life. The model is integrated into development of a design system of wheel bearing units in which comparative analysis for variable design candidates are evaluated to provide best endurance life conditions. The system, also, provides useful information about load conditions, contact angle, stresses and deflection distribution, etc. of wheel bearing units<br/> <br/>

LPG injection engine vehicles of today are controlled by 2 separated control units of IFB(Interface Box for injector contol) and PCU(Powertrain Control Unit). Generally it is required for LPI engine vehicles by market needs to develope an IFB integrated single box PCU as a LPCU(Liquefied Petroleum Control Unit). A single box solution of LPCU brings a weight-reduction of vehicles and more robust behaviors of engine management system, especially LPG injection control. This study adopts DFSS(Design for Six Sigma) concept in HMC(Hyundai Motor Company) as a project management method in design, analysis and improvement.

It is embossed with competence of manufucturer that machine-lime-shortening is the most important than the other factor. In common works to use commercial CAM system to generate tool path, some decision making process is required to produce optimal result of CAM systems, The paper proposes a methodology for computer-assisted tool selection procedures for semi-rough cutting to serve a good finish process. The system provides assist-tool-item for machining of design model part of injection mold die by analyzing sliced CAD model of die cavity and core. The system is developed with commercial CAM using API. This module will be used for optimization of tool selection and planning process.
