This work deals with a controlled auto-ignition (CAI) single cylinder gasoline engine, focusing on the extension of operating conditions. The fuel is injected indirectly into electrically heated inlet air flow. In order to keep a homogeneous air-fuel mixing, the fuel injector is water-cooled by a specially designed coolant passage. Investigated are the emission characteristics of compression ignition gasoline engine by the variety of injection timing. The compression ignition gasoline engine can be achieved that the ultra lean-burn with self-ignition of gasoline fuel by heating inlet air. It can be achieved that the emission concentrations of carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxide had been significantly reduced by CAI combustion compared with conventional spark ignition engine.<br/>

The analysis shows that the variation of maximum pressure of the cycle, rate of heat release, rate of mass burned, and combustion delay are influenced by the inlet air humidity in the spark-ignition engine.<br/> The quantitative combustion delay can be obtained from the rate of mass burned. Also, the variation of time loss and effective compression ratio with the change of inlet air humidity are<br/> dominated by the development of rate of heat release.

The influence of inlet air humidity on the flame velocity and combustion of the spark ignition engine were described experimentaUy by means of the flame velocity measuring apparatus using ion-current. The flame velocity are greatly influenced air fuel ratio and engine speed, and linealy decrease according to the increasing of inlet air humidity.<br/> The flame travell curve is very similar to the rate of mass burned and combustion progressive is estimated mostly by only the rate of mass burned curve.<br/> The decreasing of the mean flame velocity is about 0.4m/s for increasing of 0.001 specific humidity and we think the reason is mainly decreasing of thermal conductivity.
트레할로스 및 효소제 첨가가 백설기 품질에 미치는 영향

본 연구에서는 백설기의 품질변화를 최소화할 수 있는 방안으로 효소제(BS-300 0.3%)와 트레할로스(trehalose 3%, 6%)를 첨가한 6가지의 백설기를 제조하여 품질변화를 관찰 하였다. 쌀가루의 RVA호화특성을 조사한 결과, 효소제와 트레할로스를 첨가한 쌀가루는 가공의 안정도가 높아지고, 노화도가 감소되는 것으로 나타났다. DSC를 이용하여 백설기의 노화정도를 비교한 결과, 효소제와 트레할로스를 첨가한 시료에서 노화억제 효과가 나타났고 효소제와 트레할로스 6%를 함께 첨가한 시료에서 가장 큰 효과가 나타났다. 제조한 백설기의 저장기간에 따른 품질변화는 효소제와 트레할로스의 병행처리가 보수성을 향상시키며 색도 및 경도 변화를 억제하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 백설기의 품질개선에 가장 효과적인 배합비는 효소제 0.3%와 트레할로스 6%가 함께 첨가된 백설기로 나타났다. This study investigated changes of quality during storage period with 6 types of Backsulgie manufactured by adding enzyme (BS-300 0.3%) and trehalose (3%, 6%) to minimize the changes of quality and tried to determine their optimal combination ratio. When Rapid Visco Analyzer (RVA) gelatinization properties of rice powder were examined, adding both of enzyme and trehalose to the powder increased stability of process and reduced retrogradation. In comparison of the degree of retrogradation of Backsulgie by using Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), the sample with enzymes and trehalose suppressed retrogradation. Moreover, the retrogradation effect became larger by using both of enzyme and trehalose and it was the largest in the sample with 0.3% enzyme and 6% trehalose. Enzyme and trehalose added to Backsulgie were found to improve water retention, to minimize changes of texture and color during storage of Backsulgie. Therefore, optimal combination ratio of Backsulgie is 0.3% enzyme with 6% trehalose added Backsulgie.

This research aimed t determine the participation motivation of hapgido (traditional Korean martial arts) practitioners, and what factors they consider in selecting hapgido martial arts halls. To this end, this research selected four hapgido halls in large cities, medium and small cities, and counties respectively, that were operating in Daegu City and North Gyeongsang Province as of August 2002, with the geographical proportion taken into account. First, there was no statistically significant difference in the average of sub variables for the practice participation motivation according to gender. Second, as a result of verifying the varying averages of practice participation motivation according to school grades, lower graders in elementary schools, overall, showed higher figures in all motivations except self-defense motivation. Third, regarding the average difference of sub variables for practice participation motivation according to dwelling areas, the average of the large cities group was higher than the of the group of eup (county) and myeon. Fourth, the average difference of sub variables for practice motivation according to dwelling type was greater in the order of villa housing group, general housing group, and apartment group. With respect to motivation for achievement and motivation for etiquette, likewise, the villa housing group and the general housing group had higher averages than the apartment group. Fifth, as for the average difference of practice participation motivation according to recommenders, the average of etiquette motivation was higher in the order of the self-chosen group, parents-recommended group was more motivated than the other two groups. Sixth, there was no statistically significant average difference level in practice participation motivation according to practice period. Seventh, as for the average difference of practice participation motivation according to practice time, the group with under one hour practice had higher motivation on average than the group with 1-2 hour practice.
플라즈마 제트 플러그의 형상이 정적연소기내 연소특성에 미치는 영향

This paper presents combustion characteristics of LPG-air mixture ignited by the plasma jet in a cylindrical vessel with constant volume, in which our focus is placed on the multi-hole plug configuration. Four types of the plug configuration depending on the number of orifice and the arranged angle are considered, along with two cases of conventional spark ignition for comparison. Not only the flame propagation is photographed at intervals, but the pressure in the combustion chamber is also recorded through the entire combustion process. The results show that the plasma jet ignition enhances the overall combustion rate remarkably in comparison to the spark ignition by generating irregular flame front and penetrating through the unburned mixture. The combustion enhancement rate agrees favorably with the available data, which supports the validity of our experiment. Synthetically estimating, the two-hole sixty-degree plug appears to be the most desirable, in that the maximum pressure as well as the combustion duration is less affected by the sub-energy level than the others. It is also deduced that there may exist an optimal plug configuration capable of rapid combustion for a specific combustion chamber.
