This paper presents the development and testing of cascade refrigerator system for achieving super-low temperature condition. This experiment study shows the pressure and evaporation condition in the second stage to the temperature characteristics of the cascade refrigeration system. Compressor inlet pressure of low-pressure stage was worked in the vacuum condition and over-atmospheric pressure. Evaporation condition was tested in the vacuum condition and atmospheric pressure. Two different types of refrigerants are utilized for this system, R-22 is applied for the high stage, and R-170 for the low-pressure stage.

This study aims at experimental investigation on the feasibility of solar cooling in the seoul area. The system is comprised of fiat plate collectors, storage tank, auxiliary heater and Li-Br absorption chiller. Characteristics of the chi lier and the solar contribution on cooling were obtained by experiment The results show that during the days of experiment('83.6.10-6.22, 8.17-8.19) space cooling could be achieved by using soiar energy and auxiliary heater Moreover, there were time intervals during the day when cooling was possible using solar energy only without the auxiliary heater.

A thermal performance of the cosmetics cooler was determined by the experimental study considering the parameters such as operating conditions and the insulation material. Experiments have been carried out to investigate the thermal performance in terms of the ambient air temperature, circulation air velocity and insulation materials. When the ambient air temperature increases, the inner temperature of cooler also increases. At the air temperature above 30℃, the inner temperature of the cooler reaches up 18℃ at which the cooler does not properly function. The results shows that the inner temperature of the cooler strongly depends on the revolution velocity of the circulation fan.

Recently cosmetic refrigerator became popular for keeping the functional cosmetics. The aim of this study is to investigate the thermal performance of the cosmetic refrigerator using thermoelectric module. The experiments were conducted to investigate the effect of the parameters such as the ambient temperature, the capacity of cooling fan and insulating materials on the thermal performance. The results shows that the inner temperature depends directly on the ambient temperature and the air flow rate of cooling fan but the insulating materials has a negligible effect on the temperature variation in the space.
