Buried arch system is widely applied in the infrastructure systems recently. When constructing the buried arch system, especially in the highly risk earthquake regions, its seismic response needs to be examined. In this study, a new developed type of arch structure has been seismically analyzed with considering the effect of earthquake frequency content through the finite element analysis. This arch structure has a lengthwise span of 9.54m and rise ratio of 0.52 with half-circular shape.

In this study, an experiment is conducted from the shaded side of a concrete specimen embedded artificial defects using passive infrared thermography. The specimen and experimental setup reflect the conditions of real bridge decks. The present work recommends an effective approach in not only detection but also classification of delaminations.
