With the rapid development of the 4<SUP>th</SUP> industrial technology and the reduction of soldiers due to the decrease in the number of population, the future battlefield environment will be an operation environment centered on the unmanned combat system. And all weapon systems will be connected seamlessly through a wireless network, which becomes intelligent based on accurate information, and performs operations quickly and confidentially. For preparing against the paradigm shift in the battlefield environment, the electrification of combat vehicle should be absolutely essential, which can create high driving performance with less noise and autonomous maneuvering. Electric drive technology is definitely applied to military vehicle first, and hydrogen fuel cell technology could be adapted for military use in order for wider range as well. Therefore, this paper proposes that the development direction of the military mobility by reviewing the military applicability of electric propulsion with hydrogen fuel cell system technology.
