Phosphogypsum is the by-product of phosphoric acid industry, consist of CaSO₄2H₂O and some impurities such as P₂O_6, F and organic substance. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the basic properties of phophogypsum for potential utilization as construction materials. In this study, the paste containing 10-80wt% phosphogypsum are nixed with cement, stag, fly ash and lime. and investigated the effect of phasphogypsum on the hydration of the biders by measuring compressive strength during early and later ages. It is concluded that untreated phosphogypsm can be used as construction materials such as concrete 2th production(brick and block etc.).

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the qualities of the lightweight aggregate which is made by two kinds of the extrusion type and disk type pelletizer. The surface of the aggregate made by the disk type is also coated with AI₂O₃, and fly ash with the view to manufacturing the light-weight aggregate that specific gravity is lower than 1.0. As the result of test, it was possible to make light-weight aggregate that specific gravity was ranged about 0.6 to 1.4. Also, it's qualities are suitable as lightweight aggregates for non structural or structural concrete.
폐석회와 석탄회를 다량 이용한 경화체의 내산성 특성에 관한 연구

This paper is au experimental study of the acid-resistance of hardening used by the unrefined fly ash and waste lime and to offer basic data to someone for recycling waste lime. The flow and specific gravity, compressive strength of the hardening are investigated. Within the test period of 90days, it is put in HCl(2%, 5%) and H₂SO₄(2%, 5%). In the results of test, The flow is decrease when mixing waste lime, and specific gravity is decrease. Acid-resistance was higher than cement mortar but weight decrease is higher in HCl, 5%. The more the addition ratio of cement it is increased, The less compressive strength and weight reduction is decreased in case of the immersion of H₂SO₄, 2% and 5%.
