This paper has been carried out to find the thermal efficiency and operating characteristics of heat pipe type solar collector using a glass concentric evacuated tube(CETC) during summer. In an experiment the flow rate of water in collector are 1.5l/min. Collector efficiency is 50∼60% during time. The solar radiation appeared in a clear day is efficiency high. Efficiency curve fitted first order polynomial show that FR (τα ) and FRUL=1.316 is 0.601 and 1.316 respectively.

In the present study, Axially Grooved Heat Pipe Type Solar Collector using a Glass Concentric Evacuated Tube was investigated experimentally under the field conditions of Jinju, Korea. The mathematical models of two-phase flow in grooved heat pipe are presented for the capillary limitation in steady state. Experimental study has been carried out to find out thermal characteristics of grooved heat pipe applied to the solar collectors. The experimental result shows that the heat transfer performance of heat pipe is improved with increasing the heat input and coolant temperature. Also that has been accomplished to find out thermal characteristics of grooved heat pipe applied to the solar collectors. This paper is to analyze thermal performance data and simulation modeling for the rating of SDHWS using TRANSYS.
편광홀로그램을 이용한 비정질 As2S3 박막에서의 광학적 화상처리

Diffraction gratings were fabricated by using photodarkening effect and diffraction efficiency were measured by Ar+. laser (λ=514.5nm) in amorphous As_2S_3 semiconductor thin films prepared by thermal evaporation method. To apply the polarization hologram which was recorded by two polarized laser beams to optical signal processing, the polarization holograms were recorded and reconstructed. For the case of hologram which recorded by two orthogonal linear polarizations, the diffraction efficiency was independent on the reading beam and the polarization state of diffracted beam was found to be a function of the reading beam. On the contrary, when two recording beams have reverse circular polarizations, the diffraction efficiency was strongly dependent on the polarization of the reading beam. Using this phenomena, the two images recorded on the same position were separately selected without changing the alignment of the optical system through the variation of the reading beam polarizations.
