There are various human activities and different natural resources near shoreline. Shoreline area is very important environment. When spilt oil contaminates shoreline, commanders must make a response strategy and responders must cleanup shoreline according to the strategy. It is necessary to assess the shoreline in order to make efficient response strategy. Through the surveying the shoreline, the appropriate response should be determined. The efficient surveying and responding require the segmentation for these job. Every works related to shoreline cleanup are based on spatial information so that GIS(Geographic Information System) can be best solution. In this study, how to utilize GIS to support shoreline cleanup and assessment is supposed. GIS based system can improve the every response steps from shoreline segmentation to cleanup.

The occurrence of immersion and flooding areas due to localized floods and heavy rains have been increasing. To prevent and cope with these annually repeated natural hazards, the overall improvements are needed, including systematic management of the existing immersion marks information. The purpose of this paper is to construct a immersion marks map of coastal area from the representation of past immersion information. In order to understand the nature of the immersion marks, it is necessary to examine first some of the past hazards information in coastal area. Because basic information is short in investigating the damage of a immersion marks, it is also needed to develop an improved method for immersion marks map, using aerial photos and hazards information which are possible for realistic representation.

It is known that the accuracy of DEM is related with terrain morphology, sampling density, and interpolation method. However, the theoretical reasons for these correlations have rarely been accounted for so far. This study aimed to verify a theoretical basis that DEM accuracy can be assessed based on approximation theory when we generate a DEM using lots of precise and accurate source data such as digital maps and LIDAR data.
항공 LiDAR 측량에 의한 수치지도 제작의 경제성 분석

최근 여러 측면에서의 효용성 및 다양한 분야에서의 활용 가능성이 높게 평가되고 있는 LiDAR 시스템을 이용하여 취득한 3차원의 지형공간정보는 수치지도 제작, 3차원 건물 및 도시모델링, 통신환경 분석 등 많은 분야에서 응용되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 최신의 항공 LiDAR 측량 기술을 이용하여 기존 항공사진 측량 기술에 의한 수치지도 제작 기법을 대치할 수 있는 여러 가지 요소 중 가장 기초적인 경제적 비용 부분을 분석하였다. 이는 향후 수치지도의 수정ㆍ갱신 및 제작을 위한 항공 LiDAR 측량의 적용성을 판단하는 중요한 기초 자료가 될 것이며, 나아가 국가의 예산절감 효과를 거두는 근거자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. Recently, three-dimensional (3D) GI (Geospatial Information) using LiDAR system has been used various fields such as the production of digital map, the modeling of 3D building and urban area, and analysis of communication network and environmental effect. In this study, the production cost of digital map by aerial LiDAR surveying were compared with the cost by aerial photograph surveying for analysis of economical efficiency. It is expected that the results of this study will be used base data for production, update, revision of digital map and curtail effect of national budget.
