In order to reduce exhaust pollutants and to decrease fuel consumption stabilized combustion of lean mixture is essential. Bulk combustion engine arises from the autoignition of the mixture, inlet temperature has to be high(with EGR) enough to cause spontaneous reactions before top dead center. In this process, the intermediate species left from previous cycle play a key role in the low temperature autoignition. The objective of this study is to determine the effect of some important radical and species on autoignition by numerical modelling approach using a detailed chemical kinetic mechanisms. The fuel studied is methane, because the natural gas consists primarily of methane. It is shown that the addition of intermediate species of OH, HO2 dramatically changes the rate of autoignition and the ignition delay period to be short.<br/>
