임신 제 2 삼분기에 진단된 Patau syndrome 1 예

Patau syndrome is trisomy 13, one of the abnormalities of chromosomal structure and, is relatively common with Down syndrome and Edward syndrome. Also it is associated with intrauterine growth retardation, holoprosencephaly, cyclopia, cleft lip, cleft palate, ventricular septal defect, atrial septal defect, extremity abnormalities, and renal malformations. Because early death is typical with 50% of infants with trisomy 13 dying within 1 month and only 18% surviving more than 1 year, prevention through genetic counseling may be important for subsequent pregnancy. We present one case of trisomy 13 with abnormal ultrasound finding of holoprosencephaly, cyclopia, micrognathia, ventricular septal defect, atrial septal defect, and intrauterine growth retardation. And confirmed chromosomally with pregnancy termination.

Objective : To investigate, using the immunohistochemical stain method on normal patients and those with Endometriosis, the immunological role of Monocyte chemotactic protein-1 on the Endometrium by analyzing the degrees of MCP-1 expressions according to the extent of Endometriosis, menstrual cycle, stroma, and gland Method : 1. Endometrium tissues were obtained from hysterectomy(Classical intrafascial Semm's Histerectomy: CISH) of 20 patients with Endometriosis and 32 normal patients in a comparison group, respectively. 2. Those tissues were formalin-fixed and kept under 70℃ below zero. 3. Stained them using the biotin-streptavidin-alkaline phosphatase technique after applying antibodies to MCP-1. 4. Observed those tissues color-formed by new fuchsin through optical microscope. Results : The intensity and frequency of the positive MCP-1 expressions on Endometrial stroma were stronger and higher in the patient group with Endometriosis, which was statistically insignificant though (p=0.070). But, in the case of mild Endometrial stroma, we observed more patients showing much stronger intensity of MCP-1 expressions with statistical significance (p=0.017). The menstrual stages didn't make any difference. Conclusion : These findings strongly suggest the presence of pathophysiological changes in the endometrium of patients with endometriosis and make plausible MCP-1 as a key factor cell mediator involved in the pathogenesis of the disease.

The main purpose of this study is to develope a Simulator for Central Traffic Controller(CTC) which can check the operating status of CTC and support the maintenance procedure. The simulator supervise the CTC processor units and the data transmission between the CTC modules and the railway station equipments to define the validity of system functions and notify whether the eqipments are good or not. With the help of the simulator we could detect the error of CTC equipments easily, repair the faults efficiently, and improve the reliability of CTC system.
