The Seoul Metro Line No.1 is a very complex service line which carries over 620 thousand passengers a day as a linked line to the satellites of the Seoul Metropolitan. Since the Line No.1 had its voyage service in 1974. it has been aged by the time, which resulted in the needs for the refurbishment to the new system, and as its system refurbishment was suggested to be implemented without any stop of the service, the signaling system interoperability was planned for this refurbishment, and finally it became a desirable reference of the metro signaling system overall refurbishment.
자동열차제어장치 AF궤도회로 S-BOND의 사용신뢰도 분석

This paper presents a reliability analysis of S-bonds for AF track circuits, which detect train movement and transmit a speed control signal to the train. Field survey shows that S-bonds are exposed to very large vibrations transferred from rail, and suffer from frequent failures when they were installed on ballasted track. We collected the time-to-failure data of S-bonds from the maintenance field of Seoul metro line 2, and made a parametric approach to estimate the statistical distribution that fits the time-to-failure data. The analysis shows that S-bonds have time-to-failure characteristics described by Weibull distribution. The estimated shape parameter of Weibull distribution is 1.1, which means the distribution has constant failure rate characteristics like exponential distribution. The reliability function, hazard function, percentiles and mean lifetime are derived for maintenance support.
신호시스템 개량에 따른 운영/유지보수 방안에 대한 연구

서울메트로는 장기사용으로 노후된 2호선 신호설비(ATS)를 자동운행이 가능한 ATO 설비로 교체하였으며, 이를 통해 열차안전운행 확보를 이루었다. 최신 ATO 시스템으로 개량하면서 기존의 유 절연 복궤조 PF궤도회로를 무 절연 복궤조 AF 궤도회로로 절체가 이루어졌고, 현재 ATS 및 ATO 시스템을 상호 혼용 운행 중에 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존 ATS 신호설비와 최신 ATO 신호설비의 혼용 운행중에 안전사고에 기인하는 문제점을 사례와 함께 해결방안을 도출하고, 향후 개량된 신호시스템에 대하여 현장에서의 효율적 운영 및 유지보수 방안에 대하여 제시하고자 한다. Seoul Metro has replaced its aged signal system, ATS(Automatic Train Stop) with the automated system. ATO(Automatic Train Operation) and increased train safety. The system changed replaced insulated double power frequency track circuit with non-insulated double audio frequency track circuit, and now both ATS and ATO systems are used in operation. In this study we are going to look at the safety problems that may occur when both systems are used, draw into the conclusion of how to improve the system in terms of efficient operation and maintenance.

Train operations run trains to well-scheduled time table and the ideal case would be to have the trains running exactly as scheduled. The train delay resulted from the overcrowding takes place frequently in Seoul metro line 2 and doesn't keep the predefined headway. It requires to analyze the train delay caused from the overcrowding. In this paper we modeled simulated and analyzed the delay to disclose the effects in the line 2 operation. The modeling consists of trains entering into the line running on the line and exiting from the line. The simulation carries out with statistical perturbation and analyzes the disturbance.
