      • Cu_(0.05) Fe_(0.95) S의 Mo¨ssbauer 분광학적 연구

        Mo¨ssbauer spectra of Cuo.os Feo.ss S have been taken at various temperatures ranging from 298 to 541 K. Examination of Cu_(0.05)Fe_(0.95) S by Mo¨ssbauer and X-ray measurement show that Cu_(0.05)Fe_(0.95) S crystallize with a hexagonal structure. Ne´el Temperature is near 541K, Morin-Transition Temperature is near 370K, and Crystallographic-Transition Temperature is 402K.

        The viewing angle of TN-LCD (twisted nematic liquid crystal display) can be improved by the domain partition method, because the multi-domains are generally showing the symmetry in the vertical and horizontal sides. Two-domain partition method has been introduced for improving the viewing angle of the LCD in this study. The orientational order and the electro-optic characteristics of the TN-LCD have been measured to find out the optimum condition of the rubbing strength for the two-domain TN cell. It is possible to estimate the characteristics of the domain partitioned LCD cell by the measurement of the gray scale and the viewing angle. It has been found that the two-domain cell improves the application of gray scale compared to the conventional mono-domain cell.

      • Mo¨ssbauer분광학을 이용한 Cu_xFe_(1-x)S의 전이에 관한 연구

        The effect of copper ions in Cu_xFe_1-xS(x=0.01, 0.02, 0.05, 0.075) on crystallographic and spint-flip transitions in FeS has been studied using Mo¨ssbauer effect and x-ray diffraction. Crystallographic transition temperature Tα increased as the content of impurity x increased, but Neˇel temperature T_N and Morin transition temperature T_M decreased. The coexistence zone for the two crystallographic phase, 1C and 2C, widened as x increased, the M¨ossbauer spectrum of Cu_0.075 Fe_0.925S at room temperature shows the spectrum neer T_MC. These results are confirmed by the analysis of x-ray diffraction.

        The expansion of human rights should no longer be viewed as a threat or harm to the governmental system, but should rather be recognized as an important asset for the development of an individual, a society and further a nation. The expansion of human rights will be the foundation for an individual's happiness, a nation's betterment, and the world's peace for the new century . In other words, our renewed realization and practice of the expansion of human rights will not only benefit an individual's development and pursuit of happiness, but also a nation's development and further the world's peace. This voice advocating human right as a necessity for an individual's happiness and a society's development and the world's peace is increasing. The following research will look at the concept and history of human rights as well as the meaning of human rights education. It will particularly focus on why the necessity of human rights education has to be emphasized in the Sociology department. The content and main concept of the research derives from the research and scholars that stress the importance of human rights as the basis for today's democratic society. Based on these main concepts, the content and organization of human rights education reflected in the 6th and 7th curricula of intermediate/Senior social science are analyzed. The following are the synopsis of the research. First of all, the 7th curriculum uses the term, 'respect for human rights', for the first time. This implies that consideration for human right education within the Sociology department is increasing when compared to that of previous auricular, In this research, the 6/7th curriculum regards to human rights education are studied through the network analysis. As a result, in most Sociology areas, it is found that the network of the human rights education's main concepts branches out as it develops. Secondly, the network appears more inclusive in Politics and Law, which are non-mandatory subjects, than in Grade 9 Society and Grade 10 Society, which are mandatory subjects in the Intermediate/Senior levels. The concept of human rights should not only be considered in one specified subject, but rather it should be regarded as the founding concept that promotes good citizenship and decision making. Thirdly, in dealing with human rights, both the 6th and 7th curricular confuse the meanings of following terms: human rights, basic rights, and basic human rights. This research placed all the terms under the umbrella of basic rights, which is also used as a general term in all current text books. Basic rights studied in the centrality analysis show accentuated centrality, which indicates that a lot of explanations appear abstract. This provides us with an opportunity to consider more concrete and practical rather than abstract and ambiguous explanations about human right. Lastly, Sociology education needs to develop critical thinking regarding human rights and basic rights. The sociology education deals with various aspects of society including politics, economics, society, culture, and law. These aspects have to be taught from a human rights perspective developing critical thinking skills that enable students to appropriately look at conditions of a society. Also, human rights, responsibilities, the examples of infringement of human rights and their solutions, human rights security have to be emphasized. The research shows that the significance of the concepts such as laws relating to human rights, the history of human rights expansion, violation of human rights, escalates in the 7th curriculum as opposed to the 6th curriculum.

      • 세라믹 Nd:YAG 레이저의 큐-스위칭 및 출력 특성

        The characteristics of passively Q-switched pulse from a ceramic Nd:YAG laser was investigated. The ceramic Nd:YAG laser was pumped by laser diodes and passively Q-switched by a Cr:YAG crystal as a saturable absorber. The maximum output efficiency of 36 % was obtained with 1.1 at.% of neodymium concentration in the ceramic YAG. It was found that the thermal lens effect in the active medium of higher neodymium concentration has strongly affected on the output power of the laser. The output power decreased as the pump power increased over 6 W for the case of neodymium concentration of 2.0 at.%. Furthermore the downward tendency in output power was very rapid for the pumping power of 10 W or over, and finally the laser output ceased at 13 W of pumping. For the low pumping power and the Q-switched operation, the pulse width of 61 ns and the repetition rate of 10 kHz could be obtained in this experiment. 수동형으로 큐-스위치된 세라믹 Nd:YAG 레이저의 출력 특성을 조사하였다. 세라믹 Nd:YAG 레이저의 펌핑을 위하여 다이오드 레이저를 사용하였으며, 큐-스위칭을 위한 포화흡수체로써Cr:YAG 결정을 사용하였다. 세라믹 YAG 내의 Nd 첨가율이 1.1 at.%일 때 36 %의 최대 효율을 얻을 수 있었으나, Nd의 첨가율이 높아지면 레이저의 출력이 레이저 매질의 열렌즈 효과에 크게 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. Nd의 첨가율이 2.0 at.%인 경우 레이저의 출력은 펌프파워가 6 W이상부터 감소한다. 펌프파워가 10 W이상이면 급격히 줄어들게 되어 13 W이 되면 레이저 동작이 멈추는 것으로 나타났다. 큐-스위치 모드의 경우, 출력을 낮추고 반복률 10 kHz로 동작시킬 때 61 ns의 펄스 폭을 얻을 수 있었다.
