The conventional battery energy storage system (BESS) has many limits due to weight, size and low energy utilization resulted form battery characteristics. To solve this problem, we proposed a grid connected peak load compensation system with high discharge current characteristics based on lithium polymer battery for development of the next generation power-station. The lithium polymer battery has faster discharge current characteristics than conventional battery, so that can compensate high active power demanded by load in a short time using the low capacity battery bank. Therefore, it is possible to control power leveling of grid by measuring storage energy of battery and active power which is needed from load. The validity of proposed system was verified through the simulation and experiment.

본 논문에서는 태양광발전용 소프트 스위칭 부스트 컨버터를 제안하였다. 900W급 어레이 태양전지를 사용하였고, 제안된 컨버터가 최대 전력점에서 발전을 하도록 P&O방식의 MPPT 알고리즘을 적용하였다.[1] 제안된 컨버터의 스위칭 소자 시비율은 MPPT 알고리즘의 수행결과에 따라 제어되며, 그 결과 컨버터에서 태양전지 출력전압(132∼260V)을 입력받아 380Vdc로 승압한다. 소프트웨어를 활용하여 태양전지 구성과 MPPT 알고리즘 구현하였고 제안된 컨버터를 시뮬레이션 하였다.

In recent years, technology for storing a preliminary power or a surplus of photovoltaic energy is required. This technique, as well as store a preliminary energy and improve the reliability of the gird safety. This system can plan a efficient power generation through the flexibility of the power supply from the perspective of not only provider but also user. Accordingly, the realization of the smart grid can be expected. This paper proposes a hybrid PCS using a photovoltaic and a lithium-polymer battery with the characteristics of high density energy. The main energy source of a hybrid PCS is a photovoltaic, grid and the auxiliary energy source is a lithium-polymer battery. The operation of a proposed system in this paper is verified with simulation and experimental results.

In this paper, we present a study on the 50㎾ class power station development using lithium-polymer battery. The 50㎾ class power station purposes to compensate for peak load using 326[V] lithium-polymer battery bank. The output voltage is 380[V] in three-phase, peak load compensation is controlled based on load power. Finally, a 50㎾ power station system is built to verify the experiment.

In this paper, the input current and output voltage ripple of the soft switching interleaved boost converter was analyzed. Ripples of input current and output voltage with an interleaved method is analysed and as a result, the facts that it has lower ripple current than conventional interleaved method is verified. it means that a capacity of a main inductor can be reduced. Besides, a low capacitance of capacitor which means high lifetime and confidence can be used because of reducing ripples of output voltage. In order to verify the validity of the proposed converter used 10uF film capacitor, experiment was performed, and the efficiency of the proposed converter was measured with variable load and duty conditions.

In this paper, a fault detection algorithm for an UPS operation of power station is proposed. By adapting the algorithm, a grid-connected power station performs a UPS operation when faults such as sag, swell are occurred. Through a computer simulation, grid faults are simulated and the proposed fault detection algorithm using d, q axis observation method is verified.

In this paper, we proposed a design photovoltaic generation systems with SEPIC-Flyback converter. The SEPIC-Flyback converter is operated to SEPIC converter the state tum-on of the switch and the state tum-off the switch is operated Flyback converter. Therefore application rate of the core increases and voltage stress of switch and transformer decreases with active clamp operation. Also we performed MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking) control for efficient working of photovoltaic power generation system.
