This study is petrological and geochemical results of plutonic igneous rocks distributed in the wando area. Plutonic igneous rocks is classified into granitic gnesis, granite, diorite, micrographic granite, quartz-porphry by production state and mineral composition in study area. The area of granodiorite includes granitic gnesis and granite, that of granite does micrographic granite and quartz pophyry, and that of diorite and gabbro includes diorite by Mode and Norm analyses of them. Micrographic granite of a kind of plutonic rocks is distributed far and wide in this study area. Probably micrographic granite is plutonic rocks produced at compressional plate margin and boundary as 61.2% of Calc/Alkaline values. Micrographic granite includes relative alkali rich or intermediate alkali field by relation chart of alk to al according to the values of Niggli, and is magma type applicable to the area of salic by that of fm to al. Micrographic granite kinds of is granites of Ⅰ-type by the relation chart of Na_2O and Micrographic granite shows eruption peculiarity of Calc-Alkaline magma by Harkers oxide to sillica variation and AFM figures.

Southwestern Korea was one of the largest Cretaceous silicic volcanic main field in the Northwestern Pacific. Many cauldrons were formed in relation to volumineous ash-flow eruption. This volcanic provinece is characterized as the Yeongdong-Kwangju depression. Which measures 230x30 km, Southwestern Korea. This study are performed to investigate the Mesozoic igneous activity in relation to six cauldrons which located in the Yeongdong- Kwangju depression. The Unjangsan cauldron measures 21x25 km in diameter and stratigraphically consists of tuffaceous sedimentary rocks, intracaldera volcanics composed of dacitic to rhyolitic ash flow tuff, ring dikes of quartz-porphyry and perthite granite, and central pluton which intruded its own volcanic cover about 85 Ma ago. The Kwangju cauldron measures 40 km in diameter and stratigraphically consists of volcanicalastic sedimentary rocks, andesite and dacite, rhyolitic ash flow tuff and ring intrusion of meta-intrusive welded tuff and cupolas, and central pluton(Kwangju granite). The Mogpo cauldron measures 23x18 km in diameter and stratigraphically consists of rhyolite tuff, rhyolite welded tuff, and ring dikes of biotite granite, quartz porphyry and felsite. The Kangjin cauldron measures 22x15 km in diameter and stratigraphically consists of rhyolite to dacite ash flow tuff, ring intrusions of micrographic granite, granodiorite and monzonite, and central pluton of micrographic granite which intruded its own volcanic cover about 75 Ma ago. The Haenam cauldron measures 21x25 km in diameter and stratigraphically consists of tuffaceous sedimentary rocks, intracaldera volcanics composed of dacitic to rhyolitic ash flow tuff, ring dikes of quartz-porphyry and central pluton of micrographic granite(granophyre) which intruded its own volcanic cover about 75 Ma ago. The Wando cauldron measures 21x25 km in diameter and stratigraphically consists of intemediate to silicic volcanics, arcuate intrusions, and central pluton of micrographic granite(granophyre) which intruded its own volcanic cover about 70 Ma ago. The cauldron was formed in three stages. First, a caldera was formed by the collapse of the volcanic vent as a result of an andesitic volcanic activity, followed by the extrusion of a large amount of rhyolitic ash. This was followed by the ring-fracture volcanism of renewed magma. Finally, a central pluton intruded and emplaced the resurgent cauldron.

This study is on the micrographic granites of the Cretaceous around Mt. Duryum, Mt. Daedun, and at Haenam in Chollanamdo. Precise field research was made several times to perform this study and 150 samples were gathered. Seventy-six thin sections were made of 76 chosen samples which were fresh, and moda1 analysis was done on 25 thin sections. According to the resu1ts of motal analysis micrographic granites around these research are as come under granite. According to the results of the structural mechanics of the micrographic granites in these reearchs are as predominated strikes N40-50W, and N50-60E. According to Fig.2, these micrographic granites are similar to the distribution of Bulgugsa granites.
