        The field trial was performed to evaluate the rice growth and yield in different direct seeding methods after Italian Ryegrass Harvest The required time for seed emergence was for 7 ~ 8days in the tested direct seeding methods and there was high in seedling establishment in order of wet hill-seeding with iron-coated seeds > water seeding with iron-coated seeds > wet hill-seeding with soil coverage with pregerminated seeds. The rice plant height was shorter in the tested direct seeding methods than that of machine transplanting until 45day after seeding but there was not significant difference in terms of statistical analysis at 63day after seeding. The growth of tiller number in the rice plant was high in water seeding with iron-coated seeds and wet hill-seeding with soil coverage and low in wet hill-seeding with iron-coated seeds compared to machine transplanting. The yield component in the tested direct seeding methods was not significant difference in terms of statistical analysis. The milled rice yield in the tested direct seeding methods was higher 2 ~ 8% being with 4.94 ~ 5.24t/ha than that of machine transplanting but there was not significant difference in terms of statistical analysis. The percentage of head rice was low in the tested direct seeding methods compared to machine transplanting. The weedy rice was not occurred in the tested rice cultivation methods. In conclusion the direct seeding method would be recommended to be a suitable to in following by Italian ryegrass harvesting in southern area of Korea in terms of reduction in production cost and high income basis for rice growing farmers.

      • 벼 무논복토점파기 개발 연구

        This research was conducted to improve a hill seeding technology under puddled wet soil condition for direct seeded rice. There were severe constrains in hill sowing method under puddled wet soil such as a bird damages, dryness of seeds sown due to strong sunlight in May and buoyancy of seeds and young seedlings after raining and irrigation particular under strong wind. Thus, we have adopted a sandy type(<2mm) silicate covering method in Bokto drill seeding technology for a hill seeding method as well. The average silicate amount in order to cover seeds sown was of 840kg/ha which was evaluated to a proper volume for those problem solution and farmer's handling during sowing operation. In this experiment there was an additional problem like a precious hill drop of rice seeds, covering of silicate over hill seeded rice and seed broken during roller operation.

      • 탄소배출 저감을 위한 생분해 필름이용 벼 멀칭건답직파재배기술 개발 가능성 연구

        As the world marks the adoption of the landmark Paris Agreement on climate change, a promising movement for carbon neutrality is taking shape. This agreement would be needed to build a truly global coalition for carbon neutrality by 2050. Greenhouse gas(GHGs) emissions from agriculture come from livestock such as cows, agricultural soils and rice production has been reported by 10% in 2019. Rice cultivation would be reduced a GHGs and thus this research has conducted to minimize the emission of greenhouse gas with the mulching methodology using a biodegradable film in dry hill seeded rice and to conserve the environment through a cultural and ecological weed control instead of chemicals. We have developed the 5<sup>th</sup> mulching dry hill seeder with the biodegradable film to determine the possibility of stable rice cultivation. There were so many difficulties and constraints in the field operations such as film mulching, hill seeding and effective weed control. The mulching dry hill seeder was so good performance in the 5<sup>th</sup> trial but the biodegradable film tested was so faster in terms of biodegradation before the heading stage of the rice plant and thus there was not highly effective weed control which is ongoing research with a good performance since 2020. 생분해성 필름에 종자를 부착하여 논 표면에 펴는 멀칭 건답 및 습답 점파기술은 2015년 주요 곡물·조사료자급률제고사업단, 농촌진흥청 등에서 현장 실증시험을 실시하였다. 그러나 파종 후 관개하였을 때 필름이 뜨는 문제점으로 입모 불안정, 종자 부착에 따른 비용 및 불편 등 문제가 많았지만, 필름이 뜨지 않게 초기 물관리 등을 잘한 포장에서는 기존 건답직파, 무논점파 등과 수량이 거의 같거나 높은 것으로 나타나 이러한 문제점을 보완하면 가능성이 있는 기술로 판단되었다. 2016년 멀칭필름에 종자를 부착하는 방법과 다른 필름을 피복하면서 종자를 점파하는 방법으로 한국농수산대학에서 창안하여 국내 비닐멀칭 농업기계 생산 전문업체와 산학공동연구하여 제작한 멀칭건답점파 시작기에 생분해 필름 원료 공급 및 성형 전문업체와 협업으로 실증시험을 실시한 결과 멀칭 건답점파기는 필름절단장치, 작업선긋기 장치, 안전장치 등을 보완하여 실용화의 가능성이 인정되어 개발을 완료하였다. 하지만 시험에 사용한 생분해 필름은 두께, 성분조성, 물리성 등이 약한 것으로 사료되었으며 특히 담수환경 논 조건에서 빠른 분해로 발생된 잡초가 필름을 뚫고 올라와 7월 하순 잡초 발생이 심하여 문제점으로 나타나 이에 대한 후속 연구가 요구되었다.

      • 벼 무논직파재배의 종자 코팅소재별 발아 및 유묘생육 특성

        The research was conducted to determine a seed germination and seedling establishment of rice plant under seed coating materials such as iron, silicate, and phyllite and under covered with silicate and iron coated & silicate covered in the puddled wet hill seeding and wet line seeding methods. The seedling establishment was high in silicate and untreated control of 100%>phyllite coating of 91.5%>silicate coating of 88%>iron coating and silicate covered of 86%>silicate covered of 75.5% in the puddled wet hill seeding method, respectively. At 35days after treatment there was high in seedling height at silicate covered of 23.8cm>control of 23.6cm>silicate coating of 21.4cm>phyllite coating of 20.2cm>iron coating and silicate covered of 16.8cm>iron coating of 15.4cm. In puddle wet line seeding method rice seedling establishment was high at control and silicate covered of 100%>iron coating and silicate covered by 97.5%>phyllite coating by 94.8%>iron coating by 86%. Seedling height was high in silicate covered of 22.1cm>control of 21.2cm>silicate coating of 20.0cm>phyllite coating of 19.0cm>iron coating of 17.7cm>iron coating and silicate covered of 17.0cm, respectively.

      • 휴대용 포도자동결속기 개발연구

        The research project was conducted to develop a paper bagging machine for grape. This technology was aimed to highly reduce a labor for paper bagging in grape and bakery. In agriculture labor and farm population has rapidly decreased since 1980 in Korea so there was so limit in labor. In particular there is highly population in women and old age at rural area and thus labor cost is so high. Therefore a labor saving technology in agricultural sector might be needed to be replaced these old age with mechanical and labor saving tool in agriculture. The following was summarized of the research results for development of a paper bagging machine for grape. 1. Development of a new paper bagging machine for grape - This machine was designed by CATIA VI2/AUTO CAD2000 programme. - A paper bagging machine was mechanically binded a paper bag of grape which should be light and small size. This machine would be designed for women and old age with convenience during bagging work at the field site. - This machine was manufactured with total weight of less than 350g. - An overage bagging operation was more than 99% at the actual field process. - A paper bagging machine was designed with cartridge type which would be easily operated between rows and grape branches under field condition. - The type of cartridge pin was designed as a C-ring type with the length of 500mm which was good for bagging both grape and bakery. - In particular this machine was developed to easily operated among vines of the grape trees. 2. Field trials of a paper bagging machine in grape - There was high in grape quality as compared to the untreated control at the application of paper bagging machine. - The efficiency of paper bagging machine was 102% which was alternative tool for the conventional. - The roll pin of paper bagging machine was good with 5.3cm in terms of bagging precision. - There was no in grape quality between the paper bagging machine and the conventional method. - Disease infection and grape break was not in difference both treatments.

      • 벼 건묘육성을 위한 볍씨 철분코팅기술 연구

        최근 우리나라에서는 육묘에서 이앙작업 단축을 위하여 본답육묘(못자리)에서 하우스 육묘(육묘공장) 시스템을 전국적으로 채택하고 있으나 이앙당시 유묘의 연약한 생장으로 모내기 약 2주전 별도로 본답 또는 외기로 육묘상자를 옮겨 경화를 시키는 번거로운 문제점에 있다. 따라서 본 시험에서는 철분코팅볍씨를 이용할 경우 다음과 같은 결과를 얻어 육묘공장(못자리)에서도 본 연구결과를 활용할 경우 유용할 것으로 사료되어진다. 1. 철분코팅을 한 볍씨는 무처리에 비하여 발아, 출아, 유묘생장에 극히 정상적이었다. 2. 이앙당시 유묘의 초장 생장은 무처리에 비하여 작아 육묘상자 운반과정, 이앙작업 시 손상이 줄어 들 것으로 보였다. 3. 유묘의 엽수 뿌리 생육이 무처리에 비하여 양호하여 초기 유묘생장에 유리할 것으로 보였다. 4. 철분코팅을 한 유묘의 지상부, 지하부 생장이 무처리에 비하여 양호하여 건묘육성에 유리한 것으로 나타났다.

      • Allelopathic Activity and Determination of Allelochemicals from Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) Root Exudates II. Elucidation of Allelochemicals from Sunflower Root Exudates

        Regardless of the test species, germination was adversely affected by the different concentrations of the acidic and neutral fractions of sunflower root exudates while the basic and aqueous fractions had no effect on germination. In both test species, root lengths were inhibited slightly more than shoot lengths. Significant reduction in fresh weights of the test species was observed when the test species were treated with the acidic and neutral fractions but not with the basic and aqueous fractions. Six compounds, hydroquinone, ${\beta}$-resorcyclic acid, vanillic acid, caffeic acid, salicylic acid, and quercetin, were characterized from the acidic fraction. Seven compounds, hydroquinone, gentisic acid, ${\beta}$-resorcyclic acid, vanillic acid, caffeic acid, ferulic acid, and quercetin, were elucidated from the neutral fraction. 해바라기의 상대억제작용(相對抑制作用)(타감작용(他感作用), Allelopathy) 및 천연제초제(天然除草劑)로서의 개발가능성(開發可能性)에 관한 시험(試驗)을 1988-1991년(年)에 걸쳐 국제미작연구소(國際米作硏究所) 농학(農學), 생화학부(生化學部) 및 국립(國立)필리핀 대학교(大學校) 화학과(化學科) 천연물(天然物) 연구실(硏究室)에서 수행(遂行)하여 얻은 결과중(結果中) 상대억제작용성(相對抑制作用性) 해바라기 근분비물질(根分泌物質)의 생물검정(生物檢定) 및 상대억제작용물질(相對抑制作用物質)(Allelochemicals)의 HPLC 분석결과(分析結果)는 다음과 같다. 1. 해바라기 근분비물질(根分泌物質)의 산(酸) 및 중성분획물질(中性分劃物質)을 생물검정재료(生物檢定材料)로 사용한 피 (Echinochloa colona (L.) Link 및 무 (Raphanus sativus L.)의 발아(發芽)가 유의성(有意性)있는 억제(抑制)를 보인 반면 알칼리 및 수용성분획(水溶性分劃)에서는 억제작용(抑制作用)이 나타나지 않았다. 2. 피의 경우 해 바라기 근분비물질(根分泌物質)의 분획물질(分劃物質) $10{\mu}l$ 농도(濃度)에서부터 유의적(有意的)인 생장억제(生長抑制)가 인정(認定)되었으며 지상부(地上部) 신장억제(伸張抑制)보다 지하부(地下部) 신장억제(伸張抑制)가 산(酸) 및 중성분획(中性分劃)에서 더 강하게 나타났다. 3 무의 경우 농도(濃度)에 관계없이 지상(地上) 및 지하부(地下部) 신장억제(伸張抑制)가 산(酸) 및 중성분획(中性分劃)에서 각각 높게 나타났다. 4. 생물검정(生物檢定)에서 강한 상대억제작용(相對抑制作用)을 보인 산성분획물질(酸性分劃物質)의 HPLC분석결과(分析結果) hydroquinone, ${\beta}$-resorcyclic acid, vanillic acid, caffeic acid, salicylic acid, quercetin 등의 물질(物質)이 확인(確認)되었다. 한편, 중성분획물질(中性分劃物質)에서는 Hydroquinone, gentisic acid, ${\beta}$-resorcyclic acid, vanillic acid, caffeic acid, ferulic acid, quercetin 등이 각각 동정(同定)되었다.

      • A Research on None Covering of Top-soil for Rice Seedling Nursery for Sparse Machine Transplanted Rice

        To determine none top soil covering in rice seedling nursery method for the sparse machine transplanting, four different sowing methods were tested. Shoot and root length, fresh weight, leaf number and color using leaf color chart(LCC) and SPAD were collected as the data comparison of methods. The seedling height showed the highest growth according to the conventional (230g seed rate of pre-emerged seeds and top-soil covering) > high sowing density 1 (290g seed rate of pre-emerged seeds and top-soil covering) ≥ high sowing density 2(290g seed rate of pre-emerged seeds and none top-soil covering) > high sowing density 3(290g seed rate of iron-coated seeds and none top-soil covering). There was any statistical difference between groups in root length, leaf number, LCC, and SPAD values. Thus, a high sowing density of 290g for rice nursery seedling box was recommended to the sparse machine transplanting in rice cultivation with the none top-soil covering method, enabling convenient handling in transportation and machine transplanting work.

      • 벼농사 복토직파기 개발 연구

        This research was performed to develope a stable direct seeding method in rice cultivation using by a direct seeder with soil application. A principle of this methodology was introduced from seeding nursery system of machine transplanting enable to increase high seeding establishment direct seeding method with soil application was high of 89-95% while that of water seeding was 68%. During seeding growth plant height was ralatively small but seeding health was high. A total soil consumption of this methodology was 145kg/10a in dirll seeding and 26kg/10a in hill seeding respectively, there was 100% erected in direct seeding with soil application while water seeding was 45% in erected seeding stand. In direct seeding method with soil application total carbohydrate content was higher than that of water seeding. This machine was manufactured to attach and/or detach to a machine transplanter with riding type and machine cultivator with multipurpose. In the farmer's demonstrated rice field this method was well performed like machine transplanting in terms of rice growth and development. There was highly cost reduction for rice production like other direct seeding methods.
