      • 重力場에서 Photon이 받는 deflection에 대한 硏究

        Photoelecric effect and compton scattering uggest that a photon apparently acts as well a particle, and has a movement-mass. Therefore thae photon will be forced and deflected by the gravitational field caused by a material particle. This paper calcurates the angular deflection of a photon which passes by the material particle at its edge.

      • Geiger-Mu¨ller 計數管의 製作과 消減gas 混合比에 관한 硏究

        It was studied the performance of the Geiger-Mu¨ller counter tube using a mixture of Ar gas and amyl alcohol gas. In this report, by using a chemical method, a Geiger-Mu¨ller counter tube made of. copper cylinder was coated with Cu_2O thin film. When the pressure and the mixing ratio of quenching gas in the Geiger-Mu¨ller counter tube were 10cmHg, 20cmHg, 30cmHg, 40cmHg and 5%, 10%, 15%, the characteristical curve of Geiger-Mu¨ller counter tube were showed in Fig.4, Fig.5, Fig.6, and Fig.7, respectively. In the case of the pressure 20mHg and the ratio 5%, the percentage slope and operating voltage resulting from data of Fig.5 were 0.009%, 1,300 volt, respectively. It is found that the possibility of production of the Geiger-Mu¨ller counter tube exists in our laboratory.

      • 알루미늄합금-흑연 복합재료의 제조와 기계적 성질에 관한 연구

        The preparation of aluminium alloy-graphite particle composite using uncoated graphite particles and the vortex method of dispersion are described. The pretreatment is required of heating the graphite particles to 400℃ in air for 1 hour just prior to their dispersion in the melts. It was also found that the stirrer shaft should be inclined 20˚∼25˚ from the vertical during the uncoated graphite particles being added. In aluminium alloy-graphite particle composite, the variation of mechanical properties at room temperature was investigated in accordance with the graphite content being varied from 0.5 wt% to 2.3 wt%. The values of tensile strength, elongation and hardness were significantly decreased with increasing the amount of graphite added, except for the value of yield strength.

      • 物質의 감마線 吸收係數 測定

        This paper is an attempt to discuss the measurement of the mass absorption coefficient in lead, aluminum and steel to the strongest penetrating gamma ray in radiation. The gamma ray used for the measurement, with 0.662Mev energy emitting from the radioisotope source of Cs-137, is monochromatic. After the gamma ray passes through the absorber, the intensity of the beam diminishes exponentially with absorber thickness. After the counting rates on each absorber was plotted to the semilog paper, its slope was calculated by the method of least squares. The mass absorption coefficient of lead was shown to be σ??=0.102㎠/gm aluminum σ??=0.076㎠/gm, and steel σ??=0.088㎠/gm. These results were very similar to measurements which were reported in the past.

      • Zn^(65)電子捕獲붕괴에서의 幾何學的 效率 a_kε_k 測定

        A geometrical efficiency a_k??_k has been studied in the electron capture decay of Zn^65 by recording coincidences between 1.115Mev gamma ray and K x-rays emitted when the vacancy is filled. A Si(Li)x-ray detector was used in conjunction with a NaI(T1) detector for these measurements. The result obtained for a_k??_k, the geometrical efficiency per K capture that K-shell vacancy is formed, is 6.135 x 10 ^-3. The value is to help indicate the path to improvements in the measurement of probability for K-shell ionization.

      • P^(147)_m의 Beta 붕괴의 의한 K-shell Shake off Ion化 확률

        The probability of K-shell ionization in the beta decay of P_m^147 have been measured to be (0.98±0.08) X 10^4. The experimental result was compared with the values obtained from the previous measurements and the a model based on vacany creation mechanisms of shake off. A new theoretical approach taking account of the final correlation is desired to understand the phenomenon.

      • 화학적침전법으로 제조된 Ba(Ce_x,Ti_1-x)O_3의 유전 특성에 관한 연구

        Ba(Ce_x, Ti_(1-x))O_3 powders have been obtained by the pyrolysis of barium titanyl oxalate adding 0.04 mol% CeCl_3 solution. After calcinating the powders were cold-pressed into discs 10 mm dia. and 1 mm thick using a stainless steel die with a fabrication pressure of 24000 p.s.i.. The compacts were sintered in air at 1350℃ for 2hrs in a silicon tube furnace of SiC heating elements. The results that the permittivities at the Curie temperature are rapidly increased regardless of the amounts of Ce compound included in the barium titanate matrix agree with Curie-Weiss law.

      • 比例計數管의 제작과 充塡가스 壓力의 효과에 관한 硏究

        We have studied the performance of the gas proportional counter tube using a mixture of argon and carbon cioxide (Ar-98%, CO_2-2%). In this report, by using a heating system, a gas proportional tube made of copper cylinder was covered with Cu_2O thin film. It's characteristics depending on the pressure in the counter tube are described. The shape and plateau curves resulting from the data were very similar to measurements which were reported in the past. We found that the possibility of production of the gas proportional counter tube exists in our laboratorty.

      • Magnetoplasma 내에서 운동하는 입자의 Cerenkov 복사에 대한 분산관계 연구

        The general radiative criteria for the Cerenkov spectrum emitted from moving test particles in a magneto-plasma are investigated by analyzing the radiative dispersion relation. The radiative criteria are given in explicit forms that are adaptable to the calculation of radiations emitted from various test particles. The results of the analysis have a bearing on a number of astrophysical and terrestrial problems as well as on the laboratory determination of the test particle properties.

        Hot Wall Epitaxy(HWE)에 의한 ZnIn$_2S_4$ 단결정 박막 성장과 특성

        수평 전기로에서 $ZnIn_{2}S_{4}$ 다결정을 합성하여 HWE(Hot Wall Epitaxy)방법으로 $ZnIn_{2}S_{4}$ 단결정 박막을 반절연성 GaAs(100) 기판 위에 성장시겼다. $ZnIn_{2}S_{4}$ 단결정 박막은 증발원의 온도를 $610^{\circ}C$, 기판의 온도를 $450^{\circ}C$로 성장시켰고 성장 속도는 0.5$\mu\textrm{m}$/hr로 확인되었다. $ZnIn_{2}S_{4}$ 단결정 박막의 결정성의 조사에서 $10^{\circ}$K에서 광발광 (photoluminescence) 스펙트럼이 433nm (2.8633 eV)에서 exciton emission 스펙트럼이 가장 강하게 나타났으며, 또한 이중결정 X-선 요동곡성 (DCRC)의 반폭치(FWHM)도 133 arcsec로 가장 작아 최적 성장 조건임을 알 수 있었다. Hall 효과는 van der Pauw 방법에 의해 측정되었으며, 온도에 의존하는 운반자 농도와 이동도는 $293^{\circ}$K에서 각각 $8.51{\times}10^{17}electron{\textrm}{cm}^{-3}$, 291$\textrm{cm}^2$/V-s 였다. $ZnIn_{2}S_{4}$ 단결정 박막의 광전류 단파장대 봉우리들로부터 $10^{\circ}$K에서 측정된 ${\Delta}$Cr(crystal field splitting)은 0.1678 eV, ${\Delta}$So (spin orbit coupling)는 0.0148eV였다. $10^{\circ}$K의 광발광 측정으로부터 고품질의 결정에서 볼 수 있는 free exciton 과 매우 강한 세기의 중성 주개 bound exciton 등의 피크가 관찰되었다. 이때 증성 주개 bound exciton 의 반치폭과 결합 에너지는 각각 9meV와 26meV였다. 또한 Haynes rule에 의해 구한 불순물의 활성화 에너지는 130meV였다. The stochiometric mixtures mixture of evaporating materials for the $ZnIn_{2}S_{4}$ single crystal thin film was prepared from horizontal furnace. To obtain the $ZnIn_{2}S_{4}$ single crystal thin film, $ZnIn_{2}S_{4}$ mixed crystal was deposited on throughly etched semi-insulting GaAs(100) in the Hot Wall Epitaxy(HWE) system. The sourceand substrate temperature were $610^{\circ}C$ and $450^{\circ}C$, respectively and the growth rate of the $ZnIn_{2}S_{4}$ single crystal thin film was about 0.5$\mu\textrm{m}$/hr. The crystalline structure of $ZnIn_{2}S_{4}$ single crystal thin film was investigated by photoluminescence and double crystal X-ray diffraction (DCXD) measurement. The carrier density and mobility of $ZnIn_{2}S_{4}$ single crystal thin film measured from Hal effect by van der Pauw method are $8.51{\times}10^{17}{\textrm}{cm}^{-3}$, 291$\textrm{cm}^2$/V.s at $293^{\circ}$K, respectively. From the photocurrent spectrum by illumination of perpendicular light on the c-axis of the $ZnIn_{2}S_{4}$ single crystal thin film, we have found that the values of spin orbit splitting $\Delta$So and the crystal filed splitting DCr were 0.0148eV and 0.1678 eV at $10^{\circ}$K, respectively. From the photoluminescence measurement of $ZnIn_{2}S_{4}$ single crystal thin film, we observed free excition($E_{X}$) typically observed only in high quality crystal and neutral donor bound exicton ($D^{\circ}$, X) having very strong peak intensity. The full width at half maximum and binding energy of neutral donor bound excition were 9meV and 26meV, respectively. The activation energy of impurity measured by Haynes rule was 130meV.
