In this paper the procedure for the prediction of the proper holding amount of refrigerant in refrigeration cycle of household refrigerator is presented. In the refrigeration cycle, the proper holding amount of refrigerant should be concerned to the volume, temperature and pressure of the parts, compressor condensor and evaporator, and to the amount of refrigerating oil. Theoretically calculated holding amount of refrigerant is compared to experimental holding amount.

Using microcomputer PC 8001, A/D and D/A converter, a continuous voltage feedback control system has been developed for accurate and flexible temperature control. Control parameters can be changed during running, and the controlled ADC and DAC data are recorded in RAM of PC 8001. And Z80 assembly language is used for software programming. 8-bit A/D converter is used and the developed temperature control system has been runned with the accuracy ±0.2℃ for the setting temperature, on condition that the experiments have been done under a steady supplying voltage.

Instructional materials were developed for effective teaching of materials testing and to promote the maximum use of the newly acquired experimental equipments. We have developed experimental manual and slide films. These materials comprise of tension test, compression test, bending test, hardness test, impact test, fatigue test, wear test and magnetic particle inspection. This study will contribute to teaching and laboratory practice of materials testing.
