        ( Sookhee Kwon ),( Jiun Hong ) 한국감성과학회 2015 추계학술대회 Vol.2015 No.-

The purpose of the study is to suggest a methodology for properly categorizing the body type of women based on the multivariate statistical analysis of female in their 20s~30s. The body types classified are expected to be applied to product design for clothing. During verification of differences between groups, we have analyzed together by calculating Effect Size η 2, d and Cramer’s V. In a result of finding composition factors and forms of body types of female in 20s~30s, a total of 10 factors were drawn out in body type composition factors and they are size and thickness of torso, sagging level of breast, slender level of waist, upper half torso size and level of lean back, neck base circumference size and armscye circumference size and form, level of lift-up according to narrowness of shoulder, torso thickness in bust area and shoulder size, breast size and protruding level, level of shortness of upper half torso and level of lean back of shoulder part and also a total of six body types were classified. As a result of implementing One-Way ANOVA for finding out differences of factor scores between six body type groups, it showed meaningful differences in all items and it showed very big difference with η 2 0.16~0.27 of ES. In post verification result, it also showed meaningful result actually with minimum over 0.2 of d which is Cohen between groups showing differences.

Hotel Uniform Proposal for Jeju I

Kwon, Sookhee The Society of Fashion and Textile Industry 2014 한국의류산업학회지 Vol.16 No.6

The purpose of this research is to propose employee uniforms for tourist hotels on Jeju Island, such uniforms that embrace Jeju's unique culture and promote the tourism of Jeju Island. It has been suggested that there exists a need for hotel employee uniforms to attract more tourist attention and boost Jeju's tourism industry. We designed the uniform after analyzing the empirical data collected from academia thesis, periodicals, papers and pictures from internet search, and fashion industry magazines. The uniform analysis and production procedures are as follows: (1) precedent research case review (2) current (existing) uniform status survey (3) latest fashion trend analysis (2010 - 2014) (4) creating the uniform implementing the trend-based design with Gal Cheon, Jeju's cultural product material. We found tipping points of the design through literature and trend analysis; we developed appropriate uniforms accordingly that are harmonious with Jeju's unique identity. We received great evaluations on the appearance and comfort as well. A new concept of uniform featuring Gal Cheon has been proposed. It is expected that the uniforms will promote the brand image of Jeju as an international freedom city and its culture.

Research on the Impact of Jeju Rural Area's Changing Funeral Ritual about Shrouds

Kwon, Sookhee The Society of Fashion and Textile Industry 2013 한국의류산업학회지 Vol.15 No.3

The objective of this research is to find out status and consciousness about shrouds according to changes of Jeju's rural funeral ritual while reviewing Jeju's traditional shrouds. Consciousness of customs regarding tradition is much stronger in Jeju Island. Since it was said that shrouds and changes of funeral ritual have very systematic correlation according to the result of precedent researches, changes of funeral rituals of Jeju's rural area were examined. At the same time, consciousness about traditional shrouds of Jeju people was also studied. As the result of examination through literary investigation, visits to rural homes, visits to production places of Jeju's shrouds and interviews with grandmothers designated as human cultural assets of traditional Jeju shrouds, etc, it was found out that Jeju's rural funeral rituals had been rapidly changed since 2000. Traditional Jeju shrouds are also disappearing. In particular, old women of Jeju have considered preparation of their own and their husbands' shrouds in advance as a virtue. However, as it gradually became more difficult to produce and prepare traditional shrouds at homes and as the space of funeral was changed from their own houses to hospitals and/or commercial funeral homes, it was found out that a ratio of people's using general shrouds sold in market was increased and it is believed that this kind of trend will be accelerated more and more in the future.

Development of Basic Pattern of Wedding Dress I - Focused on Torso Pattern for Top Dresses -

Kwon, Sookhee The Society of Fashion and Textile Industry 2018 한국의류산업학회지 Vol.20 No.4

This thesis intends to suggest a new wedding dress pattern through researches on history and changes of wedding dress, researches on silhouette and details and analyses of existing basic patterns. In this study, to develop torso patterns of top dresses selected as preferred designs through literature reviews and company surveys, dress form sizes suitable for standard sizes were selected and study basic patterns were made using draping techniques. The study finds characteristics of body type dimension that is changed when wearing brassiere (hereinafter, 'bra') for wedding dress through customer surveys for development of basic patterns of wedding dress. That is, wearing wedding bra was used for the purpose of increasing the bust size and we will evaluate later whether this increase helps completeness of aesthetic impression through wearing evaluation. As the result, it was found out that top torso pattern wearing wedding bra made wearers feel more comfortable and in the aspect of aesthetic impression, it provided impacts on women's beautiful silhouettes. The effects of whether a bra is used or not on changes in patterns were reviewed through the degree of polymerization of finished patterns. When a bra for dresses was worn, the waist front length increased by1.7cm, the bust circumference increased by 2.1cm, and the amount of dart increased by 1.5cm in the patterns. A new torso pattern for top dresses, which will solve problems evaluated in each of the above from the aspect of composition of pattern by a method through analysis of existing basic patterns and multi-dimensional cut patterns wearing wedding bra, will be suggested.

Sensitivity Analysis of Copula Survival Models for Clustered Survival Data

        Sookhee Kwon,Lin Hao,Il Do Ha 계명대학교 자연과학연구소 2020 Quantitative Bio-Science Vol.39 No.2

Copula-based regression models have often been used for the analysis of clustered multivariate survival data. In particular, the Archimedean copula function is useful for modeling such dependency. For likelihood inference, one- and two-stage estimation methods are usually used. In this study, we focused on the behavior of the estimated model parameters against misspecification of Archimedean copular models. For this purpose, we investigated this sensitivity using simulation studies and real data analysis. The simulation results demonstrate that the estimated regression parameters are robust against misspecification of the copula model under the two-stage procedure but that they are not under the one-stage procedure.
