The commercialization of LTE/SAE technologies has begun a new era in which data can be transmitted at remarkably high rates. The security of the LTE/SAE network, however, remains problematic. The forward security in LTE/SAE X2 handover key management can be threatened by key compromise and de-synchronization attacks as base station in public spaces can be compromised. This study was conducted to address the lack of forward key security in X2 handover key management in scenarios in which an adversary controls a legal base station. We developed the proposed X2 handover key management by changing the parameter in the renewing step and adding a verification step. We compare the security and performance of our proposal with other similar schemes. Our enhancement scheme ensures forward separation security accompanied by favorable signal and computation load performance.
Updated SSDP Scheme for DDoS Attack Defense

Abusing the Simple Server Discovery Protocol (SSDP) can induce an SSDP attack (including SSDP DoS, DDoS, DRDoS) posing a significant threat to UPnP devices. Rapid and extensive developments in computer technology, especially in regards to IoT, have made Upnp devices an indispensable part of our daily lives - but also render them susceptible to a variety of SSDP attacks without suitable countermeasures. This paper proposes the Two-dimensional table scheme, which provides high security at a reasonable computational cost. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed scheme are also validated by comparison against four other schemes (Stateless connections, Failing-together, Cookie, and Client puzzle).
Synthesis and characterizations of graphene–copper nanocomposites and their antifriction application

In this work, a facile one-pot reduction method was used to prepare graphene–copper nanocomposites using graphite oxide and copper sulfate. The nanocomposites were characterized by transmission electron microscope, X-ray diffraction, Raman spectrum, thermal gravimetric analysis, UV–vis analysis and Fourier transform infrared spectrum. It was found that the as-synthesized graphene sheets have few layers and less defects with oxygen functional group on it. The copper nanoparticles with an average diameter of 20 nm were uniformly deposited on the graphene sheets. The aggregation of the copper nanoparticles was effectively prevented. The nanocomposites can evenly disperse in base oil. The antifriction performance of the base oil added with GNS–Cu was firstly investigated. It was found that the GNS–Cu nanocomposites as additive in proper ratio showed better antifriction properties with an improvement of the load-carrying capacity by 50%.

Double stranded targets on the cDNA microarray contain representatives of both the coding and noncoding strands, which will introduce hybridization competition with probes. Here, the effect of double and single strands of targets on the signal intensity and the ratios of Cy5/Cy3 within the same slide were compared. The results show that single stranded targets can increase the hybridization efficiency without changing the Cy5/Cy3 ratio. Based on these results, a new strategy was established by generating cDNA targets with asymmetric PCR, instead of conventional PCR, to increase the sensitivity of the cDNA microarray. Furthermore, the feasibility of this approach was validated. The results indicate that the cDNA microarray system based on asymmetric PCR is more sensitive, with no decrease in the reliability and reproducibility as compared with that based on conventional symmetric PCR.

Polyaniline/graphene (PANI/GN) nanocomposites were synthesized by in situ high gravity chemical oxidative polymerization in a rotating packed bed (RPB). The effects of graphene dosage, ammonium persulfate/aniline mole ratio, aniline concentration and reactor type on their morphology and electrochemical performances were discussed in detail. Results indicated that this process can synthesize PANI/GN nanocomposites easily under relatively extensive conditions. Particularly, it was demonstrated that it is appropriate for higher aniline concentration condition, which is favorable for large scale production. Furthermore, RPB produced PANI/GN nanocomposites of more uniform morphology and thinner coating than those synthesized in a stirred tank reactor (STR). These advantages resulted in nanocomposites of higher specific capacitance of up to 403 F/g as compared to 255 F/g for those of STR at 0.5 A/g. This process is not only simple and efficient, but also has a good prospect for industrial application.

A new platform of paclitaxel (PTX) for application as an oral delivery system was developed, by combining the pH sensitivity of polyelectrolyte complex nanoparticles (CNPs) and the active targeting of hyaluronic acid (HA). Chitosan/hyaluronic acid-paclitaxel (CS/HA-PTX) CNPs were prepared by coating the CS onto the HA-PTX nanoparticles (NPs), and characterized by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). HA-PTX conjugates could self-assemble into NPs in aqueous solution with an average size of 100±5 nm, and the PTX content of HA-PTX conjugates was 10.6 wt%. The CS/HA-PTX CNPs had a smaller size and higher PTX content when the ratio of positive charge to negative charge was 2:1. The in vitro release of PTX from CNPs was pH-responsive,suggesting that the CS shell could prevent the breakage of the ester bond in HA-PTX NPs in acidic pH conditions. HA-PTX NPs exhibited higher cellular uptake than free PTX against HepG2 cells via receptor-mediated endocytosis. PTX could accumulate remarkably into tumor sites after oral administration of CNPs. These results indicate that the CNP drug delivery system has great potential for applications in the oral administration of hydrophobic drugs.
