The main purpose of this study is to analyze behavioral types of leadership of golf instructors and reliance between golf participants and golf instructors, and to find out what kind of leadership exists. For the purpose of accurate research, the subject of this study was golf participants and this study was examined in detail through questionnaires. Contents of questionnaires had total 55 details such as servant leadership, transforming leadership, transactional leadership, and the variable of individual characteristic....and so on. 340 questionnaires were distributed and 311 questionnaires were collected. Finally, 280 questionnaires were analyzed. Collected data were analyzed by SPSS PC statistics package program. Furthermore, F verification, LSD multiple-range analysis, correlation, and multiple regression were performed by frequency, average, one-way ANONA analysis. The significant level of statistic was set at 5 percent in order to verify hypothesis. Results of this study are summarized as follow;
Firstly, according to individual characteristic and behavioral types of leadership, gender and the difference of cognition during instruction period are significant. what is more, in terms of cognition score related to behavioral types of leadership, servant leadership is 3.46 points, transforming leadership is 3.45 points, and transactional leadership is 3.48 points on the basis of 5 points. With regard to subordinate behavioral characteristics which have the highest cognition score in connection with behavioral types of leadership, persuasion related to servant leadership is 3.51 points, concern related to transforming leadership is 3.49 points, and compensation related to transactional leadership is 3.49 points.
Secondly, according to the level of reliance to golf instructors, the average score is 3.48 points on the basis of 5 points. The score of ability is 3.51 points as the highest one. The lowest score is related to credibility. It represents that conversation between golf instructors and golf participants is necessary to trust each other.
Thirdly, in terms of correlation between the leadership of golf instructors and reliance, three aspects related to behavioral types of leadership influence on reliance. In particular, compensation(r=.969) and cognition(r=.966) have the highest correlation. It states that golf participants want golf instructors to have more concern about compensation system and to have more cognitive ability than others.
Fourthly, regression analysis is performed in order to figure out how much independent variables and behavioral types of leadership influence on the level of reliance. Results are as follow; servant cognition(r=.933), Transforming inspiration(r=.885), Transactional compensation(r=.938). It shows that transactional compensation has the highest influence. In addition, multiple-range analysis is performed in order to verify how much behavioral types of leadership have an effect on reliance. Three main variables related to 3types of leadership have a significant influence on reliance with 97.1%. According to statistics, the result of F(3113.613) has a big difference(P<.001)
In conclusion, considering the reliability of golf instructors, subordinate behavioral characteristics in connection with servant type, transforming type, and transactional type have an effect on golf participants. It is convincing that it is necessary for golf instructors to use three behavioral types of leadership actively in order to provide genuine reliance to golf participants.
