유아의 감성지능과 사회적 유능감 간의 상관관계 연구 = (A) study on analysis of the correlation between young children's emotional intelligence and social competences

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of study is to offer the basic data capable of giving a help in young children's being effectively adapted to society, through grasping a tendency of young children's emotional intelligence and social competences, presenting a basis capable of clarifying and embodying each concept, and trying to examine the relevance between two variables.
The detail to be studied for this purpose are established as followings:
1. What about Young Children's Emotional Intelligence?
2. What about Young Children's Social Competences?
3. Is there any Correlation between Young Children's Emotional Intelligence and Social Competences?
Emotional Intelligence as a subfactor and Young Children's Social Competences as a subfactor. The object of this study had been set on the sixty 7 years old children who are members of H kindergarten at Seongbuk-gu in Seoul.
Young Children's abilities were tested through face to face interview and were used checklist by teachers in the classroom.
Two instruments were used for this study. One was 'emotional intelligence questionnaire'(2001) developed by Lee Yeung-Suk. The other was 'the social adaptive behavior development scale' was developed by Lee Young-Ja for measuring children's social attitudes and social skills.
The data was analyzed by frequency, t-test, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis.
The result of this study are as follows:
1. Young children's whole emotional intelligence was shown to be a little higher than the average, and in terms of the emotional intelligence according to sex female young children were shown to be a little higher compared to male young children, but it did not show the significant difference.
2. Young children's whole social competences were shown to be comparatively high, and in terms of the social competences according to sex, female young children were also shown to be higher compared to male young children, but it was not the significant difference.
3. Overall, it did show the comparatively high significant correlation between the emotional intelligence and social competences.
