As the subject of education for the disabled infant becomes serious and more diverse, the teachers' special abilities are more important. But their abilities aren't verified practically.
The purpose of this study was to get the fundamental information for the education and training of the kindergarten teacher through the research on the actual condition of the kindergarten teachers' special abilities.
The subject of study was 202 kindergarten teachers in Busan, Daegu, and the province north and south of Kyeongbuk. The question were 10 for basic background, 15 for the special abilities requisite for the kindergarten teacher 15 for their practical abilities, and 12 for the primary factor forming special abilities. Liker technique were used.
There are some propositions based on the results of this study.
First, teachers' abilities required in the integrated education were very much, but their practical knowledge was a little. The practical curriculum of the integrated education for disabled infant should be opened and the student teacher have much practical training.
Second, kindergarten teachers should foster their abilities by observing the infants' development and demand an training alternative plans in order to promote the integrated education for the disabled infant.
Third, the number of abled and disabled infant a class should be adjusted. The assistants and volunteers are need. Also, the fundamental conditions such as betterment of working condition and parent education should come first.
