In this study, I have developed a proper program, recognizing the right concepts of rhythm movements and how a creative characteristic is expressed in preschool children's behaviors. By devising and designing a dance education program which consists of the rhythm movement adjusted to the levels of preschool children's developments, I have aimed at providing the fundamental materials for preschool children's dance education program.
For the purpose of obtaining the aim, once a week, I had the preschool children in age from 4 to 7 perform this dance program as an extra educational activity for thirty minutes at a time during the period of 8 weeks. And I invented the methods of learning made up of three stages, a preparatory stage, an individual activity stage, and a settlement stage.
Naturally, an preschool education should be conducted on the basis of children's developments, individual distinctions, tastes, and needs, etc. Nevertheless, it is currently being applied to preschool children by their parents or teachers' requirements rather than by children's demands. Although the recently reformed curriculum for preschool children is intended to promoting the wholesome developments of children through various pleasant activities and diversified content and methods of instruction, the preschool education actually is focused on the aspects of cognitive education.
A preschool education should be applied and improved in full accordance with the levels of children's developments and their characteristics to achieve their wholesome abilities. In this points, I think the dance education for preschool children through rhythm movements should be instructed to develop their physical and mental abilities to the full. Finally, if children joyfully participate in the rhythm movements, they can easily understand and acquire both theories and skills in dance.
