The above mentioned findings suggest some actions should be taken in relation to programs for elderly service center activation work.
First, we should check health care of elderly who were using the centers regularly and continuously to activate health promotion programs. It is necessary to develop programs for not only physical but mental and psychological health care. And we should also develop various kinds of programs in relation to health care, because most of elderly people worried about their health condition and we have to develop women-centered health care programs, because coefficient of utilization of women was higher than men.
Second, we should spread common workshop in accordance with regional characteristics and prepare occupations in accordance with their academic career and request their services through close connection with regional enterprise to activate economic support programs.
Third, it is necessary to develop various leisure programs for not only healthy people but weak people, because people who were using the centers were over 70 years old. Most of all, we should educate elderly to enjoy themselves, because they were unaware of leisure.
Fourth, we should help them to activate elderly volunteer programs through systematization of elderly people and to induce their affirmative participation to activate programs for interchange of communities. It is also necessary to open resources of the centers and to develop programs inducing interchange activity of communities.
Finally, it is necessary for social welfare policy makers and the persons in charge of elderly service center activation work to study on it deeply.
