대학생의 애착유형과 자아정체감 및 대인관계성향과의 관계 = The Relationship Between Attachment Style, Identity and Interpersonal Relation Tendency of University Students

국문 초록 (Abstract)

애착의 질적특성은 자신과 다른 사람에 대해 상이한 신념을 갖도록 한다. 이에 본 연구의 목적은 대학생들의 애착유형과 자아정체감 및 대인관계성향간의 관계를 밝히는 것이다. 본 연구에서 다루어진 연구문제는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 대학생들의 애착유형과 자아정체감과의 관계는 어떠한가.
둘째, 대학생들의 애착유형과 대인관계심향과의 관계는 어떠한가.
셋째, 자아정체감 수준과 대인관계성향과의 관계는 어떠한가.
연구대상은 원광대학교에서 인간행동과 심리 또는 선과 인격수련을 수강하는 517명의 대학생을 임으로 선정하였다. 이 연구를 위해서 애착유형검사(ECL), 자아정체감검사, 대인관계성향검사가 사용되었다. 연구문제1, 2는 일원변량분(One-way Anova)를 실시하였고, 연구문제 3은 Pearson상관계수를 사용하였다.
이상의 연구에 바탕하여 다음과 같은 결론을 내릴 수 있다.
첫째, 애착유형에 따른 자아정체감에는 유의미한 차이가 있었다(P<.001). 안정형 애착유형의 사람이 두려움형 애착유형의 사람보다 자아정체감이 높게 나타났다.
둘째, 애착유형에 따른 대인관계성향과는 유의미한 차이가 있었다(P＜.001). 두려움형 애착유형의 사람이 다른 애착유형의 사람보다 지배적-우월적, 경쟁적-공경적, 과시적-자기도취적, 반항적-불신적인 대인관계 성향이 높았다.
셋째, 자아정체감과 대인관계성향간에는 유의한 상관관계를 보였다(P<.001). 자아 정체감 수준이 높을수록 독립적-책임감적 대인관계성향이 있으며(r=.491), 자아정체감 수준이 낮을수록 반항적-불신적 대인관계성향이 있다(r=-.183).
본 연구는 대학생의 애착유형과 자아정체감 및 대인관계성향과는 관계가 있다는 것을 알고, 자아정체감 확립이 가장 요구되고 대인관계가 가장 활발하게 일어나는 성인초기의 대학생 시기에 자아의 통합체로서의 자아정체감 확립과 원만한 대인관계형성을 도울 수 있는 교육프로그램 및 상담프로그램의 필요성을 시사해 주고 있다. 또한 사회·정서적 영역의 역기능과 관련이 높은 불안정 애착을 예방하기 위한 방법과 불안정 애착을 교정하기 위한 치료적 방법이 모색되어져야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between early adult attachment style, identity and interpersonal relation tendency. The following problems are concerned with this research.
1. What are the relationships between the attachment styles and the identity of university students?
2. What are the relationships between the attachment styles and the interpersonal relation tendency of university students?
3. What are the relationships between the identity level and the interpersonal relation tendency?
To analyze the above problems, 517 students, sampled from Wonkwang University located in Iksan-city, were participated in this research. And some test models were used, such as Attachment style test(ECL: Experiences in Close Relationships), identity test, Interpersonal relation tendency. Specifically, F-test(One-way Anova) for the research problem 1 and 2, Significance level test of correlation coefficient for research problem 3 were used.
Results of this study are as follows:
First on identity level, there were statistically significant differences in accordance with attachment style. And also, the identity level of security attachment style was higher than that of fearful-avoidance attachment style.
Second, on interpersonal relation tendency, there were some significant differences in accordance with attachment style. Especially in the case of fearful-avoidance attachment style, the interpersonal relation was revealed with a dominance-ascendance, competitive-aggressive, exhibitionistic -narcissistic and rebellious-distrustful tendency in comparison with the other styles.
Third, the identity was significantly correlated with their interpersonal relation tendency. The higher in the degree of the identity, the more in independent-responsible tendency of the interpersonal relation(r=.491). The lower in the degree of the identity, the more in rebellious-distrustful tendency of the interpersonal relation(r=-.183).
It may be given as a conclusion that the attachment style of the students in university has something to do with the identity and the interpersonal relation tendency. This statistics shows that some training programs and counselling ones need to make the identity established as a self-integration and shape the interpersonal relation harmonized during the university life. From now on with this, the involved ones needs to think of and work out some methods for keeping out the insecure attachment style, mainly related with an dysfunction in social and emotional parts, and correcting it.
