      The Purposes of this study were to propose interventive factors which influenced to high school students' low adaptation level to school life and to improve it through approaching social support system which influenced on the high school students' adaptation to school life.
      For attaining the purposes, 344 of high school students were surveyed, and as a result of investigating and analyzing social support system to help high school students' adaptation to school life was as follows.
      First, as a result of surveying high school students' adaptation level to school life, first graders adapted better than second graders, and boys adapted better than girls.
      Second, as a result of surveying the degree of social support system, first graders had more social support than second graders, and girls had more social support than boys.
      Third, the school life which high school students adapted most was friends relations, then came teacher relations, school regulations and classes.
      Fourth, the social support system which high school students had most was friend's social support, then came parents' social support and teacher's social support.
      Fifth, the social support system most influenced on high school students' adaptation to school life was teacher's social support, then came friend's social support and parents' social support.
      Sixth, as a result of surveying the social support to influence on high school students' adaptation to school life, informational support was the one influenced most, then came evaluating support and instrumental support.
      Seventh, as a result of surveying the social supports influenced on high school students' adaptation to school life according to system, teacher's emotional support, teacher's informational support, teacher's instrumental support, teacher's evaluating support, friend's informational support and friend's evaluating support.
      The following intervening plan to help high school students' adaptation to school life could be proposed based on above results as a way of social welfare service.
      First, in such a case the model of social support system was applied to the matter of high school students' adaptation to school life, we should pay attention to not only relations of social support system, but also property of social support system.
      Second, we should understand the situation of high school students' adaptation to school life on the whole by looking into the movements between social support systems as well.
      Third, considering the positive relation between whole factors of social support and adaptation to school life, specialized and organized social working system should be prepared to improve high school students' adaptation level with providing various and balanced social support.
      Lastly, high school students had much demand more expect to social support than high school students had less demand, so actual social support they had could be differed according to their expectations.
      Therefore, the post study on the factors would influence to each high school student's demand and satisfaction should be continued.
