대학생의 내현적 자기애와 실패공포의 관계 : 내면화된 수치심의 매개효과

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대학생의 내현적 자기애와 실패공포의 관계에서 내면화된 수치심이 매개효과를 갖는지 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 만 18세부터 만 29세의 남녀 대학생을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였으며, 총 423명(남 204명, 여 219명)의 자료를 분석하였다. 각 변인의 측정에는 내현적 자기애 척도, 내면화된 수치심 척도, 실패공포 척도가 사용되었다. 결과 분석에는 SPSS 26.0과 SPSS PROCESS Macro 4.0을 사용하였으며, 수집된 자료를 활용해 기술통계분석, 상관분석, 매개효과분석을 실시하였다.
주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 간 변인 간의 유의미한 상관관계가 나타났다. 내현적 자기애, 내면화된 수치심, 실패공포 간에 모두 정적 상관이 있음이 확인되었다. 둘째, 내현적 자기애와 실패공포의 관계에서 내면화된 수치심은 정적으로 부분 매개하였다. 이는 내현적 자기애 정도가 높을수록 내면화된 수치심에 정적으로 영향을 미쳐 실패공포가 증가함을 의미한다. 끝으로 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구가 가지는 의의와 제한점, 그리고 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 논의하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effect of Internalized Shame regarding the relationship of Covert Narcissism and Fear of Failure. The subjects of this study were 423 college students aged between 18 to 29(male 204, female 219). They were assessed by the Covert Narcissism Scale(CNS), Internalized Shame Scale(ISS) and Performance Failure Appraisal Inventory-Revised (PFAI-R). The collected data were analyzed by using SPSS 26.0 and PROCESS Macro 4.0 to examine descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and mediating effect analysis.
The findings of this study are as follows. First, there were significant correlations between variables. It has been confirmed that there are significant positive correlations between covert narcissism, internalized shame and fear of failure. Second, internalized shame mediated partly the relationship between covert narcissism and fear of failure. This means high covert narcissism positively affects internalized shame, thereby enhancing fear of failure. Finally, based on these findings, the implications and limitations of this study were discussed along with suggestions for further research.
