The purpose of this study was to synthesize and to identify the effectiveness of the mindfulness based programs. The mindfulness based program were conducted in Korea from 2004 to 2015 by meta-analysis.
Then final analysis is to identify the characteristics of the intruder's target, depending on the coding standard, coding by applying the formula to the effect size of the intruder from each effect size was calculated 642. In addition, each group was analyzed using the Comprehensive Meta Analysis 2.0 version program to obtain the effect size and homogeneity of variance test analysis.
Therefore, the result of the research are the following. First, the average effect size of the mindfulness based programs is .846 after this study analyzed 642 effect sizes. And it can be said to be a large average effect size when we look it according to the criteria which Cohen(1977) suggested. Second, in the average effect size as each grade, the middle and high school group is the highest as .978. It shows that in the average effect size as the number of targeting, youth group from 12 to 15 is the highest as 1.115 and adult group from 12 to 15 is the highest as 1.123. It shows that in the average effect size as twice a week is the highest. It shows that in the average effect size as term, youth group from over 13th term is the highest as 0.775 and adult group from 10th to 12th term is the highest as 1.240. It shows that in the average effect size as time, youth group from 60 minutes to 89 minutes is the highest as 1.017 and adult group from over 120 minutes the highest as 1.391. It shows that in the average effect size as approach, youth group from mindfulness and another approach is the highest as 0.151 and adult group from MBCT the highest as 1.391. Third, in the average effect size according to dependent variables, depression areas show large effect-sizes.
The findings of this study can be used for planning interventions that utilize the mindfulness based program, and provide implications for developing and implementing counseling interventions.
