청소년의 공감능력과 학교생활적응 및 학교폭력간의 관계

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 청소년의 공감능력, 학교생활적응, 학교폭력의 관계를 알아보았다. 10개 중·고등학교 학생 1,500명을 대상으로 이루어진 학교폭력 실태조사와 병행하여 이루어진 이번 연구에서는 학교폭력을 예방하고 학교폭력의 피해로 인한 학교생활부적응을 감소시킬 수 있는 방법을 살펴보고 있다. 본 연구의 결과 청소년들이 학교폭력피해를 당하더라도 공감능력에는 유의한 수준의 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났고, 공감능력이 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향을 위계적 회귀분석을 통해 살펴본 결과 공감 능력은 학교폭력피해가 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향을 통제하고도 학교생활적응에 정적인 영향을 미친다는 것이 유의하게 검증되었다. 바꿔 말하면 높은 공감능력은 학교폭력피해에도 불구하고 학교에서 잘 적응 할 수 있도록 하는 주요 요인임이 밝혀졌다고 볼 수 있다. 또한, 공감능력이 학교폭력 가해행동에 미치는 영향을 회귀분석을 통해 알아본 결과, 공감능력이 높을 경우 학교폭력 가해행동을 적게 하게 되는 것으로 본 연구에서 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과에 따라 본 연구에서는 학교폭력의 예방 및 피해자의 학교생활적응을 돕기 위해 청소년의 공감능력을 향상시키는 것이 효과적임을 제안하고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The present study examined the relationships of adolescent's empathic abilities to school adaptation and school violence. 1,500 middle and high school students of 10 middle school and high school participated in this study. The present study is looking to prevent school violence and reduce school maladjustment. The result indicated that frequency of school violence damage was not related to adolescent's empathic abilities. In the result of hierarchical multiple regression analyses, adolescent's empathic abilities explained adolescent's school adaptation despite partialling out effectiveness of frequency of school violence damage. In other words, adolescent's empathic abilities have a positive effect on adolescent's school adaptation although the adolescent gets school violence damage. Furthermore, In the result of regression analyses, adolescent's empathic abilities ware negative related to a harmful act of school violence. In conclusion, the present study suggested what improve adolescent's empathic abilities for school violence prevention and a school violence damaged adolescent's school adaptation.
