Abstract

A Study on the improvement
of efficiency of art education by applying
a traditional fine arts education

A tradition means a cultural heritage of tangibility and intangibility, which has been pass down from past and also established trends of custom, cultural styles, spirit that have been inherited in the community.
Various elements such as the spirit of the nation, philosophy, religion, the sense of beauty, the custom, emotion, wisdom and originality are reflected in our traditional fine arts culture and thus the traditional art will have to be understood as a complex of broad culture rather than narrow down to simply the embodiment of the fine arts.
In the respect that the traditional fine arts pass down the nation's culture coherently and separate it from different cultures, Korean characteristic and endemicity that differentiate other nations are contained in our traditional fine arts.
Rather, the traditional art education help people to accommodate different cultures and judge the value of them. Also, it can be the basis for creating new culture by finding the cultural superiority and an artistic depth of the nation with understanding our unique culture deeply. Therefore, nothing is more important than the educational value of the traditional art.
Although the traditional fine arts has changed according to the times, it has been reflected to the ways of life of members in the society within emotional values. Our traditional art is the historic embodiment of the fine arts for artistic style and the sense of the beauty so that it reflects the spirit of the times and emotions. It would be able to objectivity, systematize, deliver and sustain the culture in our future art education.
Therefore, this study has present the educational effects trying to grope improvement of the effective art lessons and write the studying plan which can be applied to the educational arena as a measure of the traditional art education with the stream of the times.
Catching students' interest in traditional art and situations of traditional fine arts educations about the current art textbooks, this study has groped how to maximize the learning effects on the basis of the analysis.
This paper will play an important role to forward the direction of culture and arts, and implant the values of own culture for students who live in multi-cultural society and the age of globalization. The traditional fine art education is significant in the sense that it provides the attitude of reflection on the past and the opportunities to communicate with the present and increase the sense of national pride in our unique culture.
