This research investigated the effects by manpower of Dreamstart Center on case management performance and to seek ways to improve its standard. By researching, analyzing and studying 182 people of manpower in Youngnam and Honam area, this research acquired the following results.
First, concerning the professionalism of manpower of Dreamstart Center, cases of certification of social worker, working period of 1-2 years, experienced men in case management, 60-80% of input in case management and high self-efficiency showed high level of case management performance. In case of duty, the results showed variety of function and high level of importance of task. It showed high level of case management when it is a center conducting 40-50 programs, a center with 91-120 cases per case manager and a center that conducts a regular meeting of cases.
Second, it showed high level of case management of Dreamstart Center manpower. Phases of approaching the institution, intake, inspection and carrying out the plan of each low variable were shown as high. On the other hand, the phases of setting goals, planning and evaluation were discovered as low.
Third, the factors that influence the case management of Dreamstart Center are the level of network, importance of task, self-efficiency, number of cases per case manager, regular case meeting and support for institution related to case management.
Based on these results, the plans for vitalization of professionalism, duty, case management institution and organization that influence the case management are as follows.
First, the local network related to Dream Start project should be established. Second, the conditions and program for improving self-efficiency of case manager should be developed and used. Third, the case meeting should be established regularly depending on the degree of crisis.
Fourth, the system for supporting the institution of case management is needed. Fifth, an appropriate number of cases per case manager are needed for better case management.
