    The purpose of this study was to investigate how college students adjust themselves to college life according to their career decision status.
    The research questions were set up as follows:
    First, What is the career decision status of college students?
    Second, Is there a difference in the college students’ adjustment to college life according to their career decision status?
    To gain answers to these questions, a survey targeting the college students in Pusan was made. A total of 600 survey questionnaires were distributed, and 532 responses were collected except missing data 68 ones: 286 responses from male students and 246 from female students. The data were analyzed by ANOVA (analysis of variance).
    The results of this study were as follows.
    First, 33.5% of the responding college students were categorized into a decided-comfortable group, 15.6% into a decided-uncomfortable group, 11.2% into an undecided-comfortable group and 39.7% into an undecided-uncomfortable group. And, ANOVA indicated that there was a significant difference in the reasons of dimension of CDP (Career Decision Profile). In general, the decided-comfortable students showed the highest scores while the undecided-uncomfortable showed the lowest scores in all scales. That is, the decided-comfortable group showed a meaningful difference from the other groups in Self-Clarity, Knowledge about Occupations & Training. And in Decisiveness, the decided-comfortable group higher score than the undecided-comfortable group & the undecided-uncomfortable group. And in Career Choice Importance, the decided-comfortable group higher score than decided-uncomfortable group. The decided-uncomfortable group recorded a higher score in Decisiveness than the undecided-comfortable group. And the decided-uncomfortable group recorded a higher score in in Career Choice Importance than the undecided-comfortable group and the undecided-uncomfortable group. Meanwhile, the undecided-uncomfortable group scored the lowest in all scales.
    Second, depending on the career decision status of the college students, ANOVA indicated that there was a significant difference in Student Adaptation to College Questionnaire (SACQ). In general, the decided-comfortable college students showed the highest scores while the undecided-uncomfortable group scored the lowest in all scales. In Academic Adjustment, the decided-comfortable group were higher than the other groups. In Social Adjustment, the decided-comfortable group were higher than the other groups, & the decided-uncomfortable group, the undecided-comfortable group were higher than the undecided-uncomfortable group. In Personal-Emotional Adjustment, the decided-comfortable group & undecided-comfortable group were higher than the decided-uncomfortable group. In Institutional Adjustment, the decided-comfortable group were higher than the other groups. And undecided-comfortable group were higher than the undecided-uncomfortable group.
    In sum, this result is that the career counseling that would make college students career decision and mentally stable is necessary to help them decide their career path and adjust themselves to the college life. And the differential diagnosis for each group and the differential treatment is needed.
